On November 18, 2003 at Noon Minnie Mouse and all her pals had a surprise birthday party for Mickey Mouse's 75th in Disneyland's Toontown. Our coverage of the party includes a complete transcript and pictures from the event:
Transcript
Singer 1: Thanks for being so
quiet, everyone! Isn't this exciting?
Singer 2: It sure is! I've never
been to a surprise party for Mickey Mouse before!
Singer 3: Me neither!
Raise your hand if this is your very first surprise party
for Mickey, too? Wow! Look how many there are!
Singer 4: You know, you're all
doing a great job of being as "quiet as a mouse!" I bet Mickey doesn't even know
we're all out here... right in front of his house!!
Singer 1: I know. This is so much fun. Oh, hey, do you know who else is coming?
Singer 2: Well, any moment now, the Ambassador from the
Disneyland Resort is going to join us. Her name is Daina Baker and she's really nice. And
guess what?!
Singers 1, 4 and 3: What?!
Singer 2: She's bringing some of Mickey's pals with her!
Singer 3: Oh, that' so cool! We'll try and be extra quiet
when they show upl
Singer 1: I know we can do that ‘cause hey we don't
want to spoil Mickey's surprise, right, kids?
Singer 4: Shh! I think the/re coming right now! Look!
Daina appears wearing a pair of mouse ears.

Singer 1: Oh look there she is! Hi Daina!
Daina: Hello, Hello! It’s so good to see you. It’s so great to see so many of Mickey's friends out here! He's going to love this!
Singer 3: And we're wearing our Mickey Mouse Ears! He's gonna love that, too!
Daina: I'm sure he will! Now today is such an important day! Its not every day that our favorite little mouse celebrates his 75th birthday. Now in just a couple of moments, we'll be ringing Mickey's doorbell And as soon as we see Mickey, we’re all going to shout— "Surprise!" Do you want to practice? Now we have to be really quiet. Okay -shhh! Now let's pretend, the door’s opening and there's Mickey Mouse!
Everyone (whispering): "Surprise!"
