The Green Room is accessible from both backstage and patron areas in order to facilitate interaction. The whole Hall complex was designed to encourage, rather than discourage, the casual pedestrian public to stop by and take a look, so it isn't surprising that the talent would be encouraged to mingle with the actual patrons.

The Hall is not without a class system, however.

The Founders Room will be the private space, completed with lots of natural lighting and a 50-foot sculptural ceiling. It is on the second level and will have private elevators and a garden. The room is in the corner of the building where Hope Street meets First Street, across from the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion, and will provide special amenities for the Music Center's major donors and guests.

Backstage amenities include ensemble and rehearsal studios, dressing rooms, a reading room, a lounge, a cafe, suites for the Music Director and Guest Conductors, and the Los Angeles Philharmonic Center featuring office space for administrative staff. Dressing rooms are on same level as the performance hall stage. Isolated walls and floors, acoustical treatments, and dual-pane glass windows allow for quiet even in the midst of a bustling downtown. And yes, those rooms are eerily quiet.
