He mentioned a new Tom Sawyer Island, some changes that weren't final for the big 5 for the 50th anniversary, a New Tomorrowland that works, since there's "nothing there" in his words, and that in the Bug's thingy (which will be announced with whatever name they decide to give it) they took special care, since Walt wanted a place where kids and adults could have fun together, to ensure that all of the ride vehicles for the bug attractions would fit adults comfortably as well as children.

Harriet Burns

Harriet Burns, our last speaker, was seated in the hub just behind the Walt and Mickey statue. She shared stories about how Walt's sweater inspired the Tiki Birds' fabrication, on working on it's a small world and Mr. Lincoln and the Dancing Man. When she passed around pictures, Alice noted: "She looks like Mary Poppins". She was constructing a Tiki Bird, and Alice was right: dark hair, red lipstick, she looked like Mary Poppins in the photo, and lovely and gracious in person. She thanked us and told us we were wonderful for caring about the history of Imagineering, we thanked her and made our way to the back entrance of the Disney Gallery, where we had our wristbands snipped off and were given a lovely pin. We schmoozed for a while and then Alice and I made our way back to the Embassy Suites North for a nap.

What about Meeko? Well, if you love Audio-Animatronics and want to see the next step make its debut, or if you just love the cuddly little cracker-stealing rascal, head over to DCA, where Dark Helmet tells me the new Pocahontas storytelling show will be something really amazing. I'll be there, most definitely. Now, this is a test-thingy and subject to change, but it is also listed in the Disneyland schedules, so I'm not revealing any state secrets. Keep your fingers crossed.
