- In late April Disney announced a new thrill ride will be built in the old Horizons location called Mission: Space, sponsored by Compaq and scheduled to open in 2003. For more on the attraction - including concept art - see the press release.
- For pin trading fans Epcot now features "Super Traders" that carry a wider variety of rare pins that normal pin traders.
- In Morocco a new dining location called Tangierine Cafe has opened.
A 25 minute video on the "Making of the Millennium Celebration" is now on sale. Cost is $9.99
