Michael Eisner: Good Evening everyone. It is my great pleasure to welcome you to the Hyperion Theater here in Disney's California Adventure and the premiere of Disney's Aladdin: A Musical Spectacular. When we first set out to re-imagine Aladdin as a theatrical event we approached it as an experience that would be comparable to a major new attraction at one of our theme parks. And in much the same way that Walt Disney Theatrical productions have redefined Broadway entertainment we have now sought to redefine theme park entertainment by offering a staged musical of the highest caliber that is ideal for, designed for - of course - the family audience. As you will soon see for yourself we brought this timeless tale to life with lots of stunning designs, unforgettable imagery, and a wonderful sense of spectacle. Indeed we built the Hyperion Theater, which is fully equal to one of the best stages in the world, so that Disney's California Adventure could offer something no other theme park can offer, a true Broadway caliber theatrical experience. As a result, for less than the price of a ticket to a New York musical our guests will get to enjoy a full day here in Anaheim, experiencing the tremendous range of attractions already in place in this great park plus an all-stops-out Broadway show. And that's what we call entertainment.

Of course we never could've attained our goals without the help of some remarkable creative individuals. These are truly world class talents from the great theaters and opera houses of the world. Please allow me to take just a moment to recognize a few of them who are here with us on this special occasion.
