Meet Lucky the Dinosaur
Lucky is captivating and charming. His mouth is
fixed in a dolphin like grin. As he looks around at the gathered crowd you can
hear him sniff and snort and his tale wags back and forth continually. Each step
he takes is accompanied by a thud and the jingle of bells which are wrapped
around his ankles. Lucky pulls a cart behind him filled with brightly colored
flowers.
Suddenly he makes grunting type noise and Chandler the Dinosaur Handler
translates his request to meet one of the kids who are all seated patiently.
Many are on the edge of their seats eager to meet the dino. Jesus is the first
to step up to the magnificent creature and presents his hand as one would when
meeting a puppy for the first time. In fact, to some extent, Lucky is like a
puppy. His tale wagging and his head constantly turning here and there as if he
might miss something if just stopped still for moment. After sniffing the hands,
Lucky lets go with a sneeze. Chandler pulls out a handkerchief so Lucky can blow
but Lucky isn't interested. After some gently prodding he finally blows his nose
into the rag.
Chandler invites Jesus, one of the students from Sepulveda Middle School in North Hills to meet Lucky
