As part of the first day of issue of the Art of Disney-Friendship stamps, the Disneyland Resort turned into a virtual branch of the United States Postal Service for a day. In the Plaza Gardens USPS employees were kept busy offering eagerly sought cancellations. Throughout the Resort, guests could be found comparing finds. Among them were Disney fans, as well as stamp collectors, and members of the American First Day Cover Society.
