Kirstie Kelly And Disney To Unveil Couture Bridal Gown Inspired By Princess Tiana - (DL) (10/20/2009)

Disney Consumer Products (DCP) and renowned couture designer Kirstie Kelly are launching an exquisite gown inspired by Princess Tiana, Disney's newest princess in more than ten years and the first African American Disney Princess character from the highly anticipated animated musical film, The Princess and the Frog. The Tiana gown will take its place in the phenomenally successful Kirstie Kelly for Disney's Fairy Tale Weddings line as the signature piece of an all new collection of bridal gowns. The new collection also includes the Snow White Diamond Edition gown, all new "Maidens" for bridesmaids, "Blossoms" for flower girls and a new line of fine jewelry with renowned jeweler Mouawad, each inspired by a Disney Princess character.

Disney’s Animal Kingdom Welcomes Two Baby Giraffes - (DL) (10/19/2009)

Walt Disney World Resort recently welcomed two male calves to the giraffe herd at Disney’s Animal Kingdom.  

Weighing 153 pounds, Bolo was born Oct. 12 to second-time mother Big Girl, who first birthed a female calf in November 2005. On Oct. 5, the Disney’s Animal Programs team helped to deliver 166-pound calf Bruehler from third-time mother Aibuni. As newborns, both male calves stand nearly six feet tall and could grow to be as tall as 15 – 18 feet as adults.  

Grant Funds Disneyland Resort CNG Fueling Station Expansion - (DL) (10/19/2009)

An expanded clean-burning compressed natural gas (CNG) fueling station at the Disneyland Resort began operating this month.  The expanded station, which increases CNG storage capacity at the Resort by more than 50 percent, was made necessary by the conversion of the Resort’s 16 Guest trams to CNG last year.

Disney Executive George Kalogridis Named President of the Disneyland Resort - (DL) (10/12/2009)

George Kalogridis, a 38-year Disney veteran and former Disneyland executive, has been named president of the Disneyland Resort in Anaheim, California. Kalogridis most recently served as chief operating officer for Disneyland Resort Paris, where he was responsible for leading the operations team and overseeing the highly successful 15th anniversary celebration of the resort.

Rich Ross Named Chairman of The Walt Disney Studios - (DL) (10/5/2009)

Bob Iger named Rich Ross, Chairman of The Walt Disney Studios.  He takes the spot of Dick Cook who resigned.  Rich Ross was previously President, Disney Channels Worldwide and has been with Disney since 1996.
