Dumbo, Barnstormer, Fantasyland Station to Reopen Early 2012 - (DL) (9/30/2011)

From Disney Publicity...

Look! Dumbo is going the wrong way!

Actually, Dumbo is just reversing decades of flying in counter-clockwise circles. Call it “unwinding,” if you will. And in a new location within Magic Kingdom.

Guests will board Dumbo the Flying Elephant from the lovable critter’s left side — like mounting a horse … and unlike the way guests hop aboard for a whirl at Disney parks on three continents. It is scheduled to begin happening in early 2012 when select experiences in the Storybook Circus neighborhood of New Fantasyland debut just northeast of Mad Tea Party.

Also early 2012, the existing Dumbo attraction near Prince Charming Regal Carrousel will close, be refurbished and be moved to a location in Storybook Circus next to the new Dumbo attraction. The result when completed later in 2012: double Dumbos, one going this-a-way, one going that-a-way … a real circus act, if you will.

There also will be a “big top” that serves as a queue area for the popular attraction. It will feature a variety of interactive experiences currently being developed.

Two other Storybook Circus elements planned for opening early in the year are The Barnstormer and Fantasyland Station. Guests who enjoyed The Barnstormer at Goofy’s Wiseacre Farm will be happy to know the junior coaster thrills of that attraction are back with a thematic change: Goofy has sold the farm and is now a circus stunt pilot and magician, The Great Goofini. The completely re-imagined train station will serve as the gateway to Storybook Circus and all Fantasyland points beyond.

Disneyland Weather Report for the September 29 from @WDW_Weather - (DL) (9/29/2011)

Today looks to be a pretty good day.  No drastic changes as high temperatures should top out somewhere right around 80 and we'll see plenty of sunshine.

The marine layer thickens up a bit as we head into the weekend and there may be enough moisture to produce a few light showers especially in the morning on Saturday and even into Sunday.  (You can thank what's left of Hillary for that.)

Walt Disney World Weather Report for September 29 from @WDW_Weather - (DL) (9/29/2011)

This one is going to be short and sweet – as they often say second verse – same as the first.

Similar conditions to yesterday with just a low chance for showers lie ahead today.  High temperatures will top out in the low 90s, but pretty nice changes are on the way.

Mother Nature must be a runner and realize that runners don't particular enjoy humidity all that much – so some cooler and drier air is going to push in JUST in time for the Wine and Dine Half Marathon Saturday night. In fact every model run brings temperatures a little lower for a low on Saturday and now we are sitting at a low of 60.  With Epcot staying open for runners until 3am – you may want to have a light jacket handy for when you cross the finish line!

Disneyland Weather Report for the September 28 from @WDW_Weather - (DL) (9/28/2011)

This is one of those weeks where I wish I could make the weather sound more exciting but there just isn't a whole lot going on to talk about.

Temperatures will remain right around 80 for a high the next 5 days or so.  There will be fog in the morning with sunshine breaking into the area by lunchtime.

Basically high pressure is in effect and there's nothing that's going to mess with that.  That said if you look up and see some high clouds in the atmosphere – guess what … that's the remnants of Hillary paying you a little visit.

Walt Disney World Weather Report for September 28 from @WDW_Weather - (DL) (9/28/2011)

I think we can all agree that yesterday was a gorgeous start to the week, and the good news is that the good times will continue to roll (cue the Figment music).

A drier air mass will stay in control and I gotta tell you I really REALLY like what I see on the horizon just in time for the half marathon this weekend.  So here's the key – it's going to continued to be warm with temperatures in the low 90s but the chance for rain is pretty low – similar to yesterday (maybe a TINGE higher than yesterday).  As sea breeze boundaries push across we can't rule out a thunder shower but NOTHING compared to what we saw last week.

As for this weekend – some of the COOLEST air we've seen since spring will begin working it's way into the air JUST in time for the Wine and Dine half marathon which should be music to peoples ears!

Disneyland Weather Report for the September 27 from @WDW_Weather - (DL) (9/27/2011)

A warm day lies ahead of us today with high temperatures topping out around in the mid 80s.  Slight temperature drop coming tomorrow and for the rest of the week.  Expect fog once again to be the story in the mornings so be careful on the roads.  Enjoy the warmth today.

Those high clouds you may see in the air - you can thank Hurricane Hillary for those.

Walt Disney World Weather Report for September 27 from @WDW_Weather - (DL) (9/27/2011)

After days of rainy unsettled weather - drier air is finally working it's way in from the north, which will limit thunderstorm formation across Central Florida today.  The dewpoints are a bit high for my liking, but that is soon to change slightly as well.

So here's the key - expect plenty of sunshine today and honestly it will be one of the nicest days we've seen in a WHILE!  High temperatures will remain in the low 90s for the rest of the week.

The good news for people getting tired of the heat is that it looks like a little COOL (not cold) front will pass sometime around Saturday - this should bring us lows in the mid 60s for Saturday night which will be exactly what the doctor ordered for Epcot's Wine and Dine Half Marathon Saturday night.

40-Year Cast Members Reflect on Opening Day Oct. 1, 1971 - (DL) (9/27/2011)

To celebrate the 40th anniversary of Walt Disney World Resort, cast members who were on hand for the Oct. 1, 1971 opening look back on the resort’s debut in this article provided by Walt Disney World publicity.

Disneyland Weather Report for the September 26 from @WDW_Weather - (DL) (9/26/2011)

Another warming trend is on top for this week.  The marine layer which is extremely deep this morning will start to lessen as we head through the week as well.

We may have a tough time hitting 80 today but we will run up into the mid 80s by the end of the week.  Some moisture from Hillary may actually make it into the area also in the coming days ... might give you a taste of tropics I suppose :-).

Walt Disney World Weather Report for September 26 from @WDW_Weather - (DL) (9/26/2011)

There looks to be a little light on the horizon for the end (or lessening) of this wet pattern we've been in the last couple of days.  Mother Nature will have her own case of the Mondays today though across central Florida as there is plenty of instability to go around and I'd expect another day with the potential for severe weather.

The thing that is always tricky about this set up is there doesn't look to be too much storm movement with these storms as steering patterns are light - what that means is that anything that blows up could linger for a while leading to some heavy rain and some water pooling on roadways - so be aware of that.

Temperatures should easily get into the low 90s which will help fire up those afternoon storms.

Looks like a slight drying pattern is on its way though as moisture gets cut off - so temperatures look to stay in the low 90s with lesser rain chances by the end of the week.

Disney Cast Members Raise Funds, Heart Rate for Great Cause - (DL) (9/26/2011)

More than 1,100 Cast Members from Walt Disney World Resort awoke before sunrise on a recent Saturday for the Orlando Start! Heart Walk. Super Greeters Contribute to Bottom-Line Success at Walt Disney World Resort - (DL) (9/26/2011)

Guests from Brazil visited Walt Disney World Resort in record-breaking numbers this year, topping last year’s all-time high. A big part of the success with international tour groups from Latin America - and Brazil in particular – has been the 54 Cast Members who serve as “Super Greeters” stationed throughout Walt Disney World Resort during the peak international travel months, which wind down at summer’s end.

Disneyland Weather Report for the September 23rd Weekend from @WDW_Weather - (DL) (9/23/2011)

First thing's first - I would be remiss if I did not wish everyone a happy FIRST DAY of FALL!

Every time I see a warm up like the one I see in long range models it basically ruins everything I was going to say about the near term - but I just can't believe we are going to be up around 90 again in about 5 days time!

Anyway it's the weekend so you don't care about that!  Today may not be the best of days - some moisture and instability could lead to some showers and perhaps an even scattered thunderstorm.  High temperatures should top out around 80 today but fall a bit into the weekend.

Conditions will improve late weekend early next week as temperatures rebound and we see some more sunshine with a shallower marine layer.

TGIF!

Walt Disney World Weather Report for the September 23rd Weekend from @WDW_Weather - (DL) (9/23/2011)

First thing's first - I would be remiss if I did not wish everyone a happy FIRST DAY of FALL!  Now - this may be one of those first days you would all like to forget because don't let the sun fool you this morning - it's going to rain and potentially rain HARD!

The wet pattern setting up that I've been mentioning all week is upon us and I'd up the ante from 50 to 60 percent for a good chance of rain this afternoon.  Like I said you can get a couple good hours in - but with easterly flow in effect showers will pop along the east coast sea breeze and they will be moving towards us throughout the early afternoon.  You can then expect a similar encore performance most of the weekend before things look to dry out a bit heading into next week.

High temperatures through the weekend will top out in the low 90s.  Have a great weekend - and keep those ponchos handy!

New Desserts at Beaches and Cream - (DL) (9/23/2011)

(posted by Doobie) Beaches and Cream, my absolutely favorite place to eat at Walt Disney World, has added two new desserts. First is a multi-layer chocolate cake. They actually had a chocolate cake before but this new one is larger and much, much better. Second is an apple pie that includes Ocean Spray Craisans. Both are served with a scoop of ice cream. Both desserts were very, very good. I'd even call the chocolate cake great. The only disappointment is they don't have a way to serve the apple pie warm. Beaches and Cream is well known for its ice cream, but with these additions my choice becomes a little bit tougher.

In other menu news, they've also changed their veggie wrap. I didn't like it before and still don't (Rebekah did, though). And prices have inched up on most items as well.

Disneyland Weather Report for September 22 from @WDW_Weather - (DL) (9/22/2011)

Good morning West Coast - watch out for areas of patchy fog through 9am.  The sun will come out and we look to top out in the low 80s for a high temperature today, with a little bit of warming tomorrow.

The weekend is looking nicely set up with a carbon copy forecast from today.  Highs in the low 80s with plenty of sunshine in the afternoon.  Looks like a better beach set up anytime after 11pm on Saturday.

Walt Disney World Weather Report for September 22 from @WDW_Weather - (DL) (9/22/2011)

I hope SOMEONE was listening when I advised to get all your Hopping out of the way early this week because that wet pattern I was telling you about is setting itself up to last right through the weekend.

We've got a 50 percent chance of showers through Sunday and while usually you can expect them after 2pm - with on shore flow working it's magic - we may see some rain falling a little earlier than what you normally expect.

The other thing for the weekend is that steering patterns won't be too strong so any showers that do move in could linger around for a while making for a miserable couple of hours in the parks.  There's always two ways to look at this thing - bring the poncho and get ready for wait times to drop (that's my play).

High temperatures will top out in the low 90s through early next week - though actual temperatures will vary based on cloud cover.

I wouldn't worry about the tropical system in the Atlantic - most models continue to shift this very sheared storm out to sea.

Magic Kingdom Parking Lot Changes Begin September 23 - (DL) (9/22/2011)

Starting tomorrow the Magic Kingdom parking lot will begin some operational changes. A second tram loading zone will be opering transforming the lot to dual-lot operation with separate load and unload zones for each lot. The two lots will be known as the "Heroes" lot and the "Villains"  lot.

Disneyland Weather Report for September 21 from @WDW_Weather - (DL) (9/21/2011)

Looks like a moderating trend temperature wise will continue as we head through the week - as temperatures go from the low 80s to the mid 80s through the end of the week.  Patchy fog is going to be the main problem every morning (as it usually is) - but for the most part a pleasant mid week is upon us.

Temperatures trend back down towards the end of the weekend though should stay around 80.

Walt Disney World Weather Report for September 21 from @WDW_Weather - (DL) (9/21/2011)

I'm not saying there won't be rain today - I'm just saying the chances for it falling around the Disney parks is less today than it will be tomorrow. As always my advice is to make sure you try to do all your Hopping before 2pm.  Temperatures will be in the high 80s to low 90s - though I'd go with higher based on sunshine.

Plan on a bit of a warming trend as we head into the heart of the weekend as temperatures may approach the mid 90s ... who says fall is upon us ... not in Florida :-)!

We have a new tropical system to keep an eye out on this week - right now it looks like the storm will curve and head very nicely out to see - but I'll update you as it gets closer.

Disneyland Weather Report for September 20 from @WDW_Weather - (DL) (9/20/2011)

There is some really thick fog in the area this morning and this could contribute to some dangerous conditions and delays on the roadway so be careful.

High temperatures will continue to be warmer than average today and through much of the week.  Today we should top out in the mid 80s ... we will fluctuate a little bit throughout the week but the highs will pop back into the upper 80s by the end of the week.

Low pressure is forecast to develop which will bring down temperatures a bit and lead to the potential for some showers and even a thunderstorm heading into the weekend.

Walt Disney World Weather Report for September 20 from @WDW_Weather - (DL) (9/20/2011)

Looks like a little bit of a reprieve for us today as some stable air is penetrating into the area.  There are enough limiting factors to bring precipitation levels back down slightly below average for today - but there are also enough variables where an afternoon shower can't be ruled out.  That said, if you are spending the entire week at the Disney parks ... my suggestion would be to get as much of your outdoor getting around done today.  Precipitation chances will gradually creep back up as we head through the remainder of the week.

High temperatures may vary a little bit based on cloud cover, but steady temperatures in the low 90s will be the norm.  Like I said above there isn't much to say other than rain chances increase through the week and you can expect afternoon thunderstorms Thursday and Friday to pop anytime after 2pm daily.

Looking ahead to the Wine and Dine Half Marathon ... I'll be running ... will you?  I'm looking at high temperatures to start coming down a bit (finally) - but the humidity looks to stick around so it promises to be a bit sticky out there - even with a 10pm start time.

Disneyland Weather Report for September 19 from @WDW_Weather - (DL) (9/19/2011)

The heat is ON without question and as high pressure continues to build in - dry warm conditions will continue.

Temperatures will flirt with 90 today and remain in the upper 80s through mid week.  Thanks to this high pressure the marine layer won't be very thick and if you've got the time - it might be a nice day for lunch by the water.

PS - Happy Birthday mom :-)!

Walt Disney World Weather Report for September 19 from @WDW_Weather - (DL) (9/19/2011)

When we last left off before the weekend we were under the influence of a very dry stable air mass which gave us fabulous mid week weather last week ... as I said get ready for that airmass to modify and modify it has.  There is plenty of moisture in the air as we've got a little diffused boundary hanging around.  That translates to a chance for showers just about every day this week unfortunately - ranging between 30 and 50 percent.

High temperatures today will top out around 90 and will remain in the low 90s for the rest of the week (based on cloud cover).

PS - Happy Birthday mom :-)!

Disneyland Weather Report for the September 16 Weekend from @WDW_Weather - (DL) (9/16/2011)

TGIF My friends and here's to a great start to the weekend and another night of treats at Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween party!  The dry air mass that has brought us such fantastic weather the last few days is going to start to modify as a cold front stalls out across North Florida.  Once again expect high temperatures to top out in the mid to low 90s today, but with the dew point STILL in the low 70s, I wouldn't say it's completely "comfortable" out there.  (I really hope humidity levels come down in the next two weeks for the Wine and Dine half marathon for all my fellow runners.)

Atmosphere will continue to moisten up as we head through the weekend so each day following today will have a slightly increased chance of showers and by the time we get to Monday - onshore flow will have kicked back in and precip chances will creep back up to about 40 percent.

Should anything pop up over the weekend - I'll post it on Twitter and please do continue to send/email any Halloween pics you want shared with the masses!  Have a great weekend!

Walt Disney World Weather Report for September 15 from @WDW_Weather - (DL) (9/15/2011)

Unless you live in or are planning a visit to Bermuda today - you should be all good when it comes to the weather. Some rain bands are affecting the island this morning so it's not sure a great day to enjoy their gorgeous beaches.  That said, when it comes to Walt Disney World - that dry stable airmass should stay with us for another day.

A gorgeous sunny day in Orlando was had by all yesterday with the exception of a few showers popping here and there - dew points still seem high from a scientific stand point but I received plenty of tweets and messages from people saying they thought it was GORGEOUS outside!

So expect a carbon copy forecast from yesterday though I think we'll do a LITTLE bit better (warmer) when it comes to the high temperature.  I'd go with temps in the low to mid 90s (making it about 93 if you want specifics).  Only chance for showers would be where the east/west sea breezes come together - but again the atmosphere is pretty dry so there really isn't a big chance for that.

The dry air mass will begin to moisten up again tomorrow - I still think that all of you ready to dress up for Mickey's Not So Scary will be just fine but precip chances will increase throughout the weekend to about 30 percent.

Speaking of - I'm not sure I am attending the Halloween party this year - so I'd love to see some pictures ... either tweet me (@WDW_Weather) or email me directly at twcroadcrew@yahoo.com and I'll post them for others to see - that way I can live vicariously through you guys!  Have a great day - it's going to be a nice one!

Disneyland Weather Report for September 14 from @WDW_Weather - (DL) (9/14/2011)

The cool down continues and we'll struggle to reach 80 for a high today.  Temperatures will continue to slide throughout the rest of the week but we'll remain mostly dry.  After your typical morning clouds - the sun will shine sometime around 11am daily.

A gradual warm up begins as we head into next week.

Walt Disney World Weather Report for September 14 from @WDW_Weather - (DL) (9/14/2011)

Breathe it in - it's a gorgeous day to be in Central Florida thanks to a high pressure ridge.  As I said yesterday - a nice dry air mass as settled in and will stick around for the next couple of days providing plenty of sunshine and seasonable temperatures.  High temperatures will top out in the low 90s today.  That dew point is still rather uncomfortable in the low 70s so it will feel much warmer once again.

We start upping the chance for precipitation as we head into the weekend JUST in time for Mickey's Not So Scary on Friday night in the Magic Kingdom.

As far as the tropics are concerned - things are wonderfully quiet - though a few computer models have a disturbance developing within a week in the Western Caribbean.

Disneyland Weather Report for September 13 from @WDW_Weather - (DL) (9/13/2011)

Temperatures are still a little warmer than I thought they would be this time of year - but changes are still on the way. Highs will top out in the mid 80s today, but then drop back down into the 70s over the next couple of days. You've heard this before - patchy morning fog will give way to plenty of afternoon sunshine.

A gradual warming trend lies ahead for the weekend and temperatures will creep back up into the low 80s by early next week.

Walt Disney World Weather Report for September 13 from @WDW_Weather - (DL) (9/13/2011)

Like one of my favorite Disney character says on one of my favorite Epcot rides "LET THE GOOD TIMES ROLL"!  That sentiment basically sums up the next few days in and around the Walt Disney World area when it comes to the weather.  A much drier air mass has built in and that should keep things high and dry the next few days at LEAST! Temperatures are actually quite comfortable as well with highs in the low 90s (though dewpoints as I write this are still a very uncomfortable 73).

As the week goes on more of the same old same old but moisture is on the increase as we head into the weekend - though precipitation chances are still below average fort his time of year.

As far as the tropics are concerned - there may be something to take a look at by the end of the week.

The program will run weekly through the end of November.

Disneyland Weather Report for September 12 from @WDW_Weather - (DL) (9/12/2011)

Much like the theme for Disney World's forecast - I am going to call it the same out here for Disneyland!  What a difference a week makes.  Last week at this time we were talking about highs in the 90s, this week we'll be struggling to hit 80 by mid week.

Temperatures today should top out in the low 80s, but like I said will continue to drop through the next few days.  There's enough instability to cause potential showers in the mountain areas for the forecast for the parks this week looks really nice.  Temperatures are slightly below average for this time of the year so you might want to pack a light jacket for World of Color viewing this week.

Walt Disney World Weather Report for September 12 from @WDW_Weather - (DL) (9/12/2011)

The theme of weather in Central Florida this week is - what a difference a week makes!  After a rather unsettled week dry air is pushing into the area and it promises to be a beautiful one!

Some lingering instability may be hanging around today but there should be plenty of sunshine.  There is some heavy rain off the Atlantic coast but I'm not worried about that this morning.  Temperatures should still reach into the low 90s for highs and remain there all week.

While we only have about a 20 percent chance for showers today as we continue to transition into a drier pattern - the rest of the week looks like gravy and if you picked THIS week for your Disney vacation - you just won the lottery.  Low crowds, lower temperatures and dry weather promise to make this one of the nicest weeks in the parks in a while.

Disneyland Weather Report for the September 9th Weekend from @WDW_Weather - (DL) (9/9/2011)

The changes we have been talking about all weekend are finally upon us and temperatures will continue to drop. Fog will thicken up along the shore once again so it won't be the best beach day.  Temperatures will top out in the mid 80s but continue to cool through the weekend and by Sunday we may not hit 80...making Sunday a beautiful day in the parks!

Walt Disney World Weather Report for the September 9th Weekend from @WDW_Weather - (DL) (9/9/2011)

Dangerous rip current conditions continue again today on Atlantic Coast beaches so be aware of that if you are heading to the beach.

There is a quasi stationary front draped across Central Florida.  To the north dewpoints are lower.  High temperatures may once again not reach 90 but temps will warm through the weekend.  Unfortunately it looks like things will remain unsettled through early next week.  Though afternoon rain coverage will be less on Sunday.

Disneyland Weather Report for September 8 from @WDW_Weather - (DL) (9/8/2011)

Wow - I almost can't believe how hot it's going to be today ... I've been watching this and I still can't believe it.  What's even more impressive is going to how quickly things change in the next 24 hours.  After a high today in the mid to UPPER 90s ... by the time we get to Saturday we may not hit 80!

Dense fog (as I've been saying since Monday) will return just in time to screw up your beach plans for the weekend - so go to Disneyland instead :-)!

Walt Disney World Weather Report for September 8 from @WDW_Weather - (DL) (9/8/2011)

HUGE RIP CURRENT RISK!  Once again I know this is primarily a source of information for Disney and other theme parks in Central Florida - but the overarching hazard today will continue to be very dangerous rip currents along the Atlantic Coast beaches thanks to tropical activity.  While this powerful hurricane is not expected to impact the East Coast directly the rip currents are extremely strong - so if you are going to the beach - use common sense and make sure you are somewhere that is being monitored.

Lady luck continues to smile upon Florida this hurricane season as Lee formed far enough south from a stalled out front to likely impact Mexico and not the US Gulf Coast.

So for us today - as I type this mostly cloudy skies should continue to give another rather blah day throughout Central Florida as whats left of a stationary front continues to just kind of hover over Central Florida.  Add a little heat to all that moisture and 1+1=thunderstorms this afternoon.  So thanks to the clouds once again I think we'll have a tough time hitting 90 for a high temperature but there's a really good chance we'll be seeing some rain today ... rain chances continue (once again this moisture isn't going anywhere quickly) tomorrow - they drop off a bit for the weekend but I still don't feel good about a rain free day anytime soon.

Disneyland Weather Report for September 7 from @WDW_Weather - (DL) (9/7/2011)

If you enjoy the heat - like I said yesterday - enjoy it while you can because big changes are coming.  How big? Expect highs today in the mid 90s but by the time we get to the weekend we'll be lucky to hit 80.

The heat brings the sun though - so that's a trade off - because as temperatures cool down - that marine layer will thicken up and fog returns.  I'd say it will be a better weekend to visit Disneyland than to spend an early Saturday at the beach.

In the long term temperatures return into the low 80s by early next week.

Walt Disney World Weather Report for September 7 from @WDW_Weather - (DL) (9/7/2011)

EXTREME RIP CURRENT risk today on Atlantic Coast beaches.  I know this is primarily a forum for Walt Disney World forecasts and theme parks in general but thanks to Katia there are incredibly dangerous rip currents today so if your plan was to hit the beach always swim in pairs and go to a supervised beach where help is standing by.

Today and tomorrow appear very unsettled and as I type this there is a line of thunderstorms to our south right now - I'd expect storms this afternoon with an even increased chance for storms tomorrow.  If you came prepared for summertime weather then you shouldn't be surprised but the chance for afternoon showers - as always make plans for busy mornings and relax when the rain comes.

Thanks to the unsettled weather - expect temperatures to have a tough time reaching 90 ... a gradual warming trend comes for the weekend and that goes hand in hand with a little more sunshine.

Models are still split on the tropical disturbance in the Gulf - so we may need to nudge up precipitation chances over the next couple of days depending on the direction this area takes.

Disneyland Weather Report for September 6 from @WDW_Weather - (DL) (9/6/2011)

Whew, hot enough for ya?  (crickets ... what ... not funny?)  Yes temperatures will once again soar into the mid 90s today, but when I say big changes are coming - they are really coming.  In the span of 5 days we will drop close to 15-20 degrees for highs.  By the time we get to the weekend there's a good chance we won't make it into the 80s.

So temperatures go down - marine layer thickens up and settles back in - translation - nice weekend for partying at Disneyland - not sure a great weekend for partying on the pier or beach!

Disneyland Weather Report for the September 2nd Weekend from @WDW_Weather - (DL) (9/2/2011)

Ridge of high pressure returns bringing much warmer temperatures early next week.  Highs will once again flirt with 90 Monday into Tuesday.

Watch out for a surf advisory today - but tomorrow could be a pretty nice day on the beach as the marine layer thins out a bit.

Walt Disney World Weather Report for the September 2nd Weekend from @WDW_Weather - (DL) (9/2/2011)

As we said earlier in the week yesterday was the transitional day and today promises to be drier, but not for long. Moisture increases into early next week and rain changes creep up.  Temperatures will be in the low 90s today and back up in the mid 90s for highs this holiday weekend.  Expect rain Sat, Sun and Monday somewhere between 2 and 4pm.

People on the Gulf Coast need to be watching out for what will soon be Lee - as the lack of steering could provided prolonged periods of rain.

Disneyland Weather Report for September 1 from @WDW_Weather - (DL) (9/1/2011)

I gotta tell you - if the beach is in your plan today or tomorrow please be aware of some high and at times dangerous surf.  This forecast is generally geared for the Disneyland crowd so you won't have to worry about that - but as this trough stays in control the marine layer will be deep and expect more clouds.  Temperatures will be in the low 80s but low and behold another blast of high pressure will build in through the holiday weekend and by the time we get to Labor Day we may be flirting with the 90s YET again!
