New Page 2 Extra Magic Hours are a period when the theme parks are open to Walt Disney World Resort guests only. For this reason the park is usually less crowded allowing guests to experience more attractions in the extra time. Extra Magic Hours occur in both the morning and the evening. Morning hours are one hour before regular park opening. Evening hours are for three hours after regular park closing. Below are a few common questions about Extra Magic Hours.

The Basics

Who can attend?
Extra Magic Hours are available to all Walt Disney World guests including the Swan and Dolphin, Shades of Green and The Hilton at Downtown Disney. Other Downtown Disney resort guests are not eligible.

Do I need a ticket?
You do not need a special ticket to attend Extra Magic Hours. However, you do need regular admittance to the park, and if you have a multi-day ticket, the admittance does count against one of those days.

How do I get in?
For Morning Extra Magic Hours, present your ticket and Resort ID at the designated turnstile to gain admittance. For Evening Extra Magic Hours, you'll need to have a ticket and Resort ID to remain in the park past normal closing time. (Note: Wristbands are no longer distributed)
