Walt Disney World Weather Report for November 28 from @WDW_Weather

A bit of a cool down today as I mentioned yesterday but still gorgeous.  By the way did everyone know the cast preview for Test Track was last night ... I MUST know how it is - fill me in @WDW_Weather!  Anyway, yes plenty of sunshine with highs in the low 70s and lows dipping once more into the mid 50s.  A gradual warm up is on tap as we approach 80 by Sunday.  Weather generally will stay the same with a slight increase in cloud cover towards the end of the week.

Walt Disney World Weather Report for November 27 from @WDW_Weather

Ok friends in Central Florida - you can stop complaining about the "cold weather" as the rest of the country continues to dive into the deep freeze with winter weather advisories popping up once more in the northeast.  High pressure off the southeastern coast will keep warm breezes in our future today.  Even with partly cloudy skies highs will easily get into the low 80s.  Lows tonight will almost stay around 60 (and will drop into the upper 50s in some spots).  High temperatures drop a bit tomorrow though as they come back closer to where they should be for this time of year in the mid 70s which is where they will remain through the rest of the week ... a slight weekend warm up is on tap though heading into Saturday.  The dry season is upon us ya'll :-)!  Enjoy you snow birds!

Walt Disney World Weather Report for November 26 from @WDW_Weather

I trust everyone had an enjoyable week with family and friends and were able to take some time to get into the holiday spirit.  I was told by several people that the parks were "a bit crazy" and with the new Fantasyland set to officially open soon - I don't expect that to change any time soon!

I should likely do another weeks long weather forecast as it looks like a lot of the same old same old this week. Expect plenty of sunshine with highs in the mid 70s through the week.  Highs will warm slightly as we head into Friday.  Lows will get down into the upper 50s with some areas dipping slightly lower into the mid 50s.

Walt Disney World Weather Report for Thanksgiving Week from @WDW_Weather

OK guys - since I know most of you are more concerned about 1) Eating 2) Shopping and 3) Sleeping - we are going to cover the rest of the Thanksgiving Holiday week for you right here - easy peasy.

I can do something like this not because yes I am a certified meteorologist no - but because Mother Nature is allowing me so by giving me essentially the same exact forecast from today through Saturday (yay nature)!

The good news is is that the weather actually GETS BETTER as we head through the week with more sun.  Partly cloudy skies today will give way to mostly sunny skies Thursday through Sunday.  Highs will be in the mid 70s for the first couple of days and then trend down into the lower 70s but I mean really we are splitting hairs here - so long story short plan on temps anywhere between 71-76 though the weekend.  In addition, lows will remain in the low to mid 50s so you may want that light jacket for when parks stay open a bit later for Extra Magic Hours or the holiday party.

Have a great week everyone - eat up - shop well - and we'll chat with you next week!

Walt Disney World Weather Report for the November 16th Weekend from @WDW_Weather

It would be difficult for me to lie and say it was going to be a glorious weekend so I won't do it.  It isn't going to be a wash out or anything like that but there may be more clouds than you would like to see for a place called The Sunshine State.  Florida has been anything but the last few days in fact and that won't change today OR tomorrow.

Some sun some clouds some sun - back and forth will be the rule.  I am thinking more sun for tomorrow to get your weekend into full swing with highs in the mid 70s both days.  The sun comes back out Sunday in full swing but there will be a wee bit of wind to go along with it.  It will feel cooler but thanks to the added sunshine we will spike slightly back up in the mid/upper 70s.  Lows will be between the mid to upper 50s throughout the weekend.

Next week starts off similar and the sun should hang on - though I'm looking for a little more clouds in the area Monday and Tuesday compared to Sunday.

Disneyland Weather Report for the November 16th Weekend from @WDW_Weather

Anyone remember when I said it was going to be a Redbox (or insert favorite streaming device here) weekend?  I was talking about this at the beginning of the week - come remember - get outside, enjoy the sun ... yadda yadda?

Well yeah this isn't going to be the picture postcard perfect Southern California weekend.  I'm looking for isolated showers all the way through the weekend with the sun returning triumphantly on Monday just in time for Thanksgiving week.  So here is the key - you can see some peeks of sunshine today, maybe Saturday and likely Sunday but the weather as a whole will leave something to be desired.  Plan on highs in the upper 60s with lows dipping down into the mid 50s through the weekend.

Walt Disney World Weather Report for November 15 from @WDW_Weather

Well here's a word I haven't used in a bit - thunderstorms.  There is the slightest chance for a thunderstorm this afternoon.  Truthfully I am not saying it is going to be a dreary couple of days or anything but as we head into Florida's dry season ... these won't be the postcard days - those are coming towards the end of the weekend into early next week.

So for today - some clouds - some sun and like I said the chance for a thundershower with highs right around 78.  Tomorrow you can expect a couple more clouds but we should stay dry.  That changes Saturday when I would expect even a couple MORE clouds with the chance of a shower.  Fortunes change for the better though like I said Sunday when the sun comes out and a couple of glorious days lie ahead.  Highs should remain in the upper 70s through early next week and lows will get down right around 60.

Walt Disney World Weather Report for November 14 from @WDW_Weather

Hey for all of you as interested in the tropics as I am (or anyone who wants to visit Florida during hurricane season) - check out this really good article from Weather Underground about why Sandy got so darned big:
http://www.wunderground.com/blog/JeffMasters/comment.html?entrynum=2293

It won't be a picture perfect day throughout the Magic Kingdom - but it won't be a complete washout either.  There is a chance for a shower this afternoon - with some clouds but hey you know what - pictures are better under cloudy grey skies so think about it that way.  Tomorrow is a better day with more sun and highs will be in the upper 70s both days.

Enjoy the sun while it lasts though because it looks to be a little unsettled into the weekend with a chance for showers Friday and Saturday.  Temperatures drop a bit Sunday as the sun returns with highs in the mid 70s.

Walt Disney World Weather Report for November 13 from @WDW_Weather

Back and better than ever after a successful Disney Wine and Dine Half Marathon.  It was great meeting some of you out there ... I didn't think anyone ever read these babblings ... if I wasn't double fisting beer and wine I'd have taken a picture.  There's nothing to show you are a pillar of health more than running 13.1 miles and then downing a beer, margarita and glass of wine within an hour - my parents would be proud!  See you all for the Princess in February!

A couple of showers could be around today into this evening - but much of the week is looking really nice and temperatures will eventually get back up around 80.  Just a slight chance for showers tomorrow as well but plan on partly sunny skies Thursday through the start of the weekend.  Lows will get down to right around 60.

Walt Disney World Weather Report for the November 9th Weekend from @WDW_Weather

Any RunDisney fans who were worried that Saturday nights race was going to be a carbon copy of the last RunDisney event can push that right out of their heads as the weather couldn't be any more different.  In fact if you are smart you will already be planning on having a light/medium jacket waiting for you at the finish line because it may be downright chilly by the time 4AM rolls around.

Plan on a great start to the weekend with sunny skies and highs in the mid 70s today.  Temps will really cool down tonight as they dip down into the low 50s.  Wind will be a factor during the day on Saturday but winds should die down to a reasonable level by the time the race starts.  Highs will top out in the upper 70s but I'm thinking by race time we will easily be closer to 70 if not in the upper 60s so it might be a little chilly waiting in those corrals.  I'm not suggesting getting clothes to just throw away alla Marathon weekend in January - but if you've got something light you can just leave at the start - more power to ya.

Like I said it promises to be a bit cool for the Finish Line Party as lows drop down around 60 (so not quite as cool as the Saturday morning low) - and then we warm up a bit more to finish things out on Sunday as highs get up right around 80 for Veterans Day.

See you at the finish line and for Extra Magic hours Sunday evening until 1am!

If anything crazy happens follow me on Twitter - I am sure I will tweet some last minute weather updates for the race @WDW_Weather - good luck everyone!

Walt Disney World Weather Report for November 6 from @WDW_Weather

Well a dreary election day is in store for Central Florida all the way up through the southeast as Atlanta isn't looking so hot either with some cold rain falling through the morning into early afternoon.  The real weather maker though is a storm that is going to develop oh yes exactly where it shouldn't - along the eastern seaboard which will likely impact areas previously affected by Sandy.

Its going to be cool out there the next couple of days and windy tomorrow.  Highs will struggle to get into the mid 70s tomorrow and stay in the 70s through the weekend where the set up for a really nice finale to the EPCOT Food and Wine festival is shaping up.  You will without question want that jacket for any night time activities tomorrow as dropping down to 50 is not out of the question.

I'll have a more extensive forecast for race day/night Thursday as models continue to come into agreement.

Walt Disney World Weather Report for the November 2nd Weekend @WDW_Weather

Ah finally the weekend - some TGIF and please continue to send all good things to those affected by Sandy.  Initial estimates have this going down as the 2nd most expensive storm in history...i.e. - a very big deal.

A nice weekend is shaping up for the happiest place on earth - some shower chances creep back into the forecast early in the week.  Like I said plan on sunny skies today with highs in the upper 70s and then warming into the low 80s tomorrow. Sun continues Sunday with highs warming up even a little more somewhere in the mid 80s.  Lows through the period will get down to into the mid 50s tonight/tomorrow morning and somewhere around 60 through the rest of the weekend.

Walt Disney World Weather Report for October 30 from @WDW_Weather

Some of our most populated cities in the US just went through an unprecedented weather event the likes of which have not been seen in this country in a LONG time.  Sandy will go down as one of the most powerful (lowest pressure) storms in history the destruction along much of the coastline in the mid Atlantic and northeast is almost unbelievable.  I do hope anyone who has families in these areas has been able to contact them and make sure they are OK.  As someone who has studied weather and worked in the field with some of the people many of you saw on TV last night ... I am in awe and shock once again at the power of nature.  Too many people asked me yesterday leading up to landfall if the media was over sensationalizing/hyping this storm ... I trust the images you woke up to this morning have made you think otherwise.  This was one of the best forecast storms that I can remember in a long time from early weekend on based on track / rainfall and even power outage estimates.  I hope it serves as a reminder that while not an exact science meteorology is an important one and hopefully some of the people I used to work with managed to save more than a few lives.

So pardon me if this forecast for the happiest place on earth is a bit light - but there really isn't much to say other than expect a gorgeous day in the parks other than the fact that you might need a light jacket.  Highs will struggle to get out of the 60s today with winds once again gusting up towards 30 miles per hour (making it feel a bit cooler).  Lows (amazingly) may dip down into the upper 40s tonight making tonight's Fantasmic (if there is one a less than ideal option ... it also wouldn't surprise me if the show were canceled due to inclement weather/wind).  The week gets better (warms up) as we go through it as highs rebound nicely into the mid 70s tomorrow and the back up to the low 80s Thursday with winds diminishing.  With sunny skies and slightly fluctuating temperatures (think high 70s) the weekend looks to be a nice one as well.

Walt Disney World Weather Report for October 29 from @WDW_Weather

Apologies for the lack of weather coverage Friday and over the weekend I have been helping with Sandy coverage for some colleagues and honestly this is an epic storm the likes most have never seen.  Sandy has now tied the strongest (lowest pressure) storm north of Cape Hatteras and managed to even strengthen a bit overnight.  Over 50 million people WILL be affected and when high tide comes to the northeast tonight it won't be pretty.  So this is going to be kept short as Central Florida cools down yes - but all in all it looks to be a pretty spectacular week.

Temps dropped into the low 50s this morning (wow) - what a difference a couple of days makes with gusty winds out of the NW as much of the east cools down in a big way.  We will struggle to get out of the 60s today but will recover quickly and be back up around 80 by the end of the week.  Plan on windy conditions to continue the next couple of days as well but all in all it should be quite gorgeous for park hopping (bring a light jacket for outdoor night time shows however at least through Wednesday).

Walt Disney World Weather Report for October 25 from @WDW_Weather

BIG changes are coming for Central Florida in the not too distant future I can tell you that.  The front that is going to sweep through much of the country is actually going to be strong enough to make its way here and by early next week we will only be getting into the 70s for a couple of days and that sounds a-ok to me.

First things first for anyone wondering where and what Sandy is up to - your guess is as good as mine.  The models are ALL over the place with the official track still keeping Sandy away from Florida but turning back towards the northeast which has the potential to be really ... whats the word.  Bad.  Some of the runs that were keeping the storm out to sea have shifted back that way but the spread is immense so if you live anywhere on the East Coast and are reading this - pay attention through the weekend as model runs get more reliable.

Anyway for the parks there is a pretty good chance for showers today into tomorrow (even more so tomorrow) but we start to clear out over the weekend.  The dew point right now is 70 which is insane for this time of year but like I said that will all change.  So with highs in the upper 80s and dew points where they are - it isn't very comfortable outside.  Temps will drop into the low 80s tomorrow into Saturday but by Monday plan on sunny skies with highs only in the 70s and one of the nicest park days we've seen in a while.  In fact a light jacket wouldn't be out of the question for any of the nighttime shows.

Walt Disney World Weather Report for October 23 from @WDW_Weather

There's a chance for sprinkles this afternoon followed an increased chance of showers tomorrow.  Temperatures will top out in the low to mid 80s today and warm up where we see longer periods of sun.  After tomorrow it looks to get clearer come Thursday into the weekend but you will notice the winds picking up.  Temperatures will be in the upper 80s Thursday and Friday and then begin to fall back down through the mid 80s this weekend with plenty of sunshine to go around.

We are still watching Sandy spin in the Atlantic and I'll let you know if anything drastic changes.

Walt Disney World Weather Report for October 22 from @WDW_Weather

You know the long range weather forecasts for winter came out last week and I'll get into that in the coming week or so - but it does seem a bit premature as we can expect highs in the low 80s today and then once again the mid to upper 80s by the end of the week.  The nice thing though is that with lower humidity levels it will feel a bit more comfortable and fall like which is always appreciated it.  Speaking of winter though - well one of the models has Miss Sandy (a new tropical development) turning into a bit of a mix of a little this and a little that and bringing some snow to the northeast ... meanwhile another model has the exact opposite findings and steers her out to sea - so we'll just wait.

That has no bearing on Central Florida weather though so enjoy some sunshine and lack of rain.

Walt Disney World Weather Report for October 17 from @WDW_Weather

After a rather dreary day expect a couple more warm ones before we get to more seasonable temperatures early next week.  Plan for highs in the upper 80s today and tomorrow with plenty of sunshine and yes that pesky humidity.  Saturday may be a bit unsettled and then things change for the better as we head into Sunday and Monday as highs are in the low 80s with a bit less humidity.

Walt Disney World Weather Report for October 17 from @WDW_Weather

I will say this if you are looking for fun and are even slightly weather engaged check out the track for hurricane Rafael - challenging to say the least but looks like the storm may be with us through next week as it races north and then just as quickly races south.

Closer to home - it looks like today may be a little on the wet side with showers through the early afternoon and thundershowers possible after that.  Highs will only be in the low 80s but that is more due to the lack of sunshine.  The sun comes back out tomorrow and highs rebound into the mid 80s but then the weekend is a little touch and go with another chance of rain.

Long range though next week is looking really nice - drier - less humid book your last minute trip now :-).  Let's keep things cooling down a bit though for us runners OK?

Walt Disney World Weather Report for October 16 from @WDW_Weather

Not a great week - not a horrible week lies ahead - hows that for scientific discussion?  Highs will average out to be in the mid 80s through Friday but while you should see plenty of sun today you can expect the possibility of some showers tomorrow then we repeat that very bold forecast for Thursday into Friday.  We aren't talking wash out by any stretch of the imagination just enough to maybe BOTHER you in some of those outdoor queues and again with a 30 percent chance of rain - it really isn't anything to get TOO worried over just something to have on your radar ... get it?

Lows will get down into the mid 60s and I'm still looking for a little bit more of a cool down by the time the Wine and Dine half marathon gets here :-)!
