The next morning we got ready for Operation:MICKEY. The day began with a warm-up on the Playstation. This time it was Dance Dance Revolution that helped us loosen up and get ready for the day’s adventure. Then we were off to breakfast at the ESPNZone. It is always a good idea to have a healthy breakfast before any top secret missions so I ordered the French Toast Platter…two eggs, meat, and the French toast is rolled in Wheaties (the breakfast of Champions). After our meal we had some time to kill before meeting up with Kim who agreed to join me on the mission. So we headed up to the arcade where we played some air hockey to sharpen our reflexes and participated in some target practice. I'm pretty rusty - the shooting game's registered high scores was 71 and all I could muster was a 41. Then Doobie and I threw some footballs while others in our group honed their driving skills with the Nascar arcade game in case we needed a high speed getaway. =)

Now it was time to meet Kim under the Golden Gate Bridge in DCA. She informed me we needed to go to Greetings From California and pick up our Top Secret Mission packet. It was a black envelope, 6 mission cards and a Confidential document. The confidential envelope said we shouldn't open it until our mission was completed. Kim let me know it contained our missions locations in case we were unable to solve the clues. I was so excited over the mission I nearly walked off without my credit card. Luckily the Cast Member caught me before I left the store. As we completed each mission we had the option of buying a pin that matched the mission’s logo. After completing all six missions we could redeem a special pin for no additional fee. The packet was $9.95 and the pins were each $10.50.

The first of our Missions was labeled Mission: M.

There was a spot on the back of the Mission card which the Cast Members would stamp to indicate mission accomplished. We read our second mission clue, Mission I.

We started to move to Fly N Buy but were sidetracked by a very adorable new mini bean at Engine Ears Toys. After purchasing the adorable Elliot we were back on track.

It was a short walk to Condor Flats’ Fly N Buy. After having our Mission: I card stamped I went inside to purchase the matching pin. Valorie was working the cash register. She noticed that I had completed Mission: M and told me that other agents had decided to not do the missions in order. In fact the card before mine read I-C-K-E-Y as the agents had decided to end their mission with Mission: M.
