In addition to feedback on specific articles, we often receive general comments on the site. Most of the feedback is positive, but I promise, when we get negative comments, we will show them. So don't hesitate to send them.

Just wanted to let you know that I think your site is wonderful ... very addictive! Keep up the good work.  --Anon

Thank you so very much for such a wonderful site. I will be going to Disneyland soon and I enjoy checking in to your site everyday to see if I can pick up anything new. Everything is just so friendly and easy to read for someone like me who is computer illiterate. : )  --MS

I have to tell you, once again, what a tremendous job you're doing. Makes me excited to go back to the park! Keep it up!  --GC

What a great site. We just found it yesterday and have already spent hours enjoying it. The photos of DCA are the best we have seen. Thanks.  --B

I really have been enjoying it since I found out that we will be going to Disneyland soon. I threw some questions out on the discussion boards and it was quickly answered. I faithfully have been checking in daily. Thank you for a great job.   --M

Great update Doobie and Rebekah! Just wanted to let you know how much I appreciate your site. I visit daily and try to contribute to the discussion boards. ... I live seven hours from Disneyland, so I can't visit very often. Thanks for providing a way to get that "in the Park feeling" everyday. Keep up the outstanding work.  --LS

Thanks Doobie and Rebekah for doing such a great job with this site! :) We appreciate all of the time and effort you spend making such a superb site!  --J

I'm going to WDW for vacation in May 2000. And I have visited 839 Disney related sites. I have to let you know that your site is on my top 5 best list. I have gotten great tips, great news, great information. I check this site out everyday. I think you did a great job on your first update page.... Please keep up the good work....  --A

I really like the fact that you include many photos. It really makes you want to go to the park and see these things first hand.   --Anon

Have I told you how much I love this website? I am sad that we no longer live around the corner from Disneyland. I truely enjoy checking in here to see what is going on, what's new or even just what the weather is. I often visit daily. This is a wonderful site and I thank you for the wonderful work that you have done. It makes me a little less homesick for the happiest place on earth.   --DC

LaughingPlace.com is one of the best most informative sites I have seen. Thanks for all of the great up-to-date information! I am planning WDW and Disneyland trips for this year and being able to see some of the merchandise ahead of time is very exciting!!!  --K

I visit this Web site periodically and decided it was finally high time to tell you how much I enjoy it! I am in Northern CA, so I don't get to Disneyland as frequently as some, but I like using your page as reference when I do make my periodic trips (and that will be more these days as I am now an annual passholder! :) ) Anyhow, I was at the park from the 14th to the 17th. I was checking LaughingPlace every day for a couple weeks beforehand, hoping for an inside scoop on what's new. I was so happy to see your press release on Kenny Loggins performing at the park, as well as the info on the parade and fireworks. As a result, I was able to get a sneak peek. :) I might have missed out if it weren't for following your Web site. You helped make for an especially unforgettabele trip! Soon, I hope to drop by the discussion boards so that I can share my recent experiences. Thanks so much for having such a terrific site!  --J

Thanks for the wonderful updates! Your site is so professionally done.  --LA

Just a quick note to say happy six month anniversary. I have enjoyed your site a lot. Seems like you have been around a lot longer than six months, you have informed all of us on so many different subjects... thanks again and keep up the good work...  --M [Ed Note: This and the following note were in response to the February 8th Editor's Report mentioning our six month anniversary]

Happy Birthday !!!!! I am a daily reader and love your site !!!!!!Keep up the good work !  --J

LP.com keeps getting better and better and better and better! The updates rock, and discussion boards rock! I love them!  --M

Doobie, your site is really the standard by which all others are judged.   --JZ

We did receive one memorable negative comment from a longtime reader that I'll show a snippet of below. The comment is very long and in-depth and we have since discussed matters further with the individual in the hope of rectifying the issues discussed.

... But I have a real problem with your execution of the site. You seem to tout LaughingPlace.com as a place of journalistic integrety, following the canons of fairness, accuracy, timeliness and the like. However, you regularly fall short on many of these basic tenents. The web makes it easy to update readers in a much more immediate and timely way than traditional print media. You can also more readily change your publication because of instant and direct feedback from your readership. But you also seem to operate LaughingPlace.com free of deadline constrants and lacking accuracy in copy editing and fact checking. With these shortcomings, you hurt your credibility with your readers. ...

... My background is in journalism. I have been an editor on both newspaper and magazine staffs. As editor in chief of my college paper, I could never have postponed delivery of materials to the printer or else the newspaper would not have been delivered to racks around campus when my readers expected it to be there. Basically, you cannot produce a morning paper if your delivery times wind up in the afternoon. You alienate the people you claim to serve. And that's what you have done to me - and others - on many occasions. For instance, you had on occasions posted your Editor's Report with a disclaimer to the effect of "The Editor's Report appears every Monday - This week one day late." In truth, that is completely unacceptable. And though you have changed your "publication" date for your Editor's Report to Tuesday, you still have Monday listed as a publication date in at least one spot on LaughingPlace.com. ...

... I'm sorry but I find it completely unacceptable and unprofessional that you would let a weekly feature, such as the trivia leaderboard, go without updating for months at a time. This week's trivia will be the 34th, I believe, and yet the leaderboard is only updated through the 27th contest. Why have the leaderboard if you aren't going to update it each week?   --Anon
