Kim does the right thing
It is a common problem today that smart, successful people believe that the ends justify the means.  They will cheat to do well in class so they can get into a good college.  They will treat someone poorly so they can be popular with the right people.  They will lie so they can get out of trouble with their parents.  Perhaps to raise a voice of protest against this kind of behavior, Kim’s creators gave her a conscience.  Kim could use the fact that she often busy saving the world to justify not doing well in school. Yet she does her homework and she gets good grades.  Kim could side with the other cheerleaders to keep Ron from becoming the school mascot.  Instead, after wavering a bit, she ends up supporting him over being popular.  She could accept a robot car's help and get an A++ on her driving test.  But instead she retakes the test and gets a B-.  Morality is definitely out of fashion with many of today’s high school students.  I find it encouraging that the creators of Kim Possible take the time to show Kim making the right choices instead of just showing her defeating this week’s villain.

So I feel pretty good about having my kids watch Kim Possible. I’m pleased the show goes beyond just entertaining kids and tries to encourage them to make good choices.  Now if they’d just have Kim wear a bit longer shirts. :o)
