Classic Quote of the Week: "Again." Herb Brooks from Miracle

Tragic Quote of the Week: "There is no way I'm changing those diapers." Mandy Park from Honey, I Blew Up the Kid

And now for a new feature, the Quote-O-Matic. Here's how it works, I take two random quotes and put them together and it comes out funny. Like this:

"What does a space ranger actually do?"
"Well the usual things, flowers, chocolates, promises you don't intend to keep."

Ok so that wasn't that funny, but it will be next week.

This Weekend
None of the openers really look like they're aiming for a big splash. First from Disney we have Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen which is aimed at the same audience that Lizzie Mcwire appealed to last year. That film made $17 million on it's opening weekend but I think this film has a little less draw. Look for Confessions to pull in about $11.8 million.

Euro Trip is another gross out comedy from the makers of Road Trip. Road Trip made $15 million it's first weekend, but I think that the franchise has faded a bit since then. Euro Trip should make around $11.3 million.

Welcome to Mooseport should make around $10.4 million.

Against the Ropes doesn't seem to be making a big impression and I would guess around $6.1 million seems likely.

the rest of the films I expect to look something like this:

  • 50 First Dates $20 (-50%)
  • Miracle $9.8 (-30%)
  • Barbershop 2: Back in Business $7.4 (-49%)
  • The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King $3.6 (-15%)
  • The Butterfly Effect $3.2 (-40%)
  • Mystic River $3 (-19%)

If It Were a Disney Film Against the Ropes would be about the dramatic seperation of two parties one night during a parade crosswalk.
