Paul Pressler: Thank you, Cynthia. Walt Disney founded this magical place on a revered set of American values. He raised the bar for guest service with what became known around the world as Disney Quality Standards. This extraordinary philosophy is still the hallmark of Walt Disney parks and resorts today. While much has changed over the years one thing has remained constant, our commitment to safety. From the beginning safety has always been the first of our four quality standards which are safety, courtesy, show, and efficiency. We believe today, just as we did in 1955 when we first opened Disneyland, that the safety of those who work and play at our resort is our single most important responsibility and an enduring value as theme park operators. In today’s environment of heightened awareness and increased attention on safety, particularly post September 11th, we think it is important for our guests to have the information they need to make safe choices for their families. This morning we’re announcing a multi-faceted campaign to build upon that foundation. This initiative reflects our unwavering commitment to constantly seek and refine ways to enhance the safety of our guests from the moment they enter our resorts until they leave. Maintaining a safety program that sets the standards for the industry as whole is essential to achieving our goal of being the world’s premiere family entertainment company.

First, we are pleased to present the debut of our report on safety for Walt Disney Parks and Resorts. This new publication has been specifically developed to provide our guests, community, business partners and shareholders with a better understanding of what steps we take to make our properties a safe place for both work and our guests. The report addresses not only our comprehensive attractions safety programs but also safety matters involving our cast, our Disney Cruise Line and our resorts. In addition, this summer will begin a special campaign to the public to heighten awareness of safety measures and educate guests how they make their vacations both fun and safe. We believe that a partnership with our guests is critical to our success.

To inspire and lead these debut programs we have created a brand new position, Chief Safety Officer. This leader will oversee all aspects of attraction safety programs for Walt Disney Parks and Resorts. He has precisely the combination of engineering expertise and theme park experience required for this important leadership position. And today it is my great pleasure to introduce you to this extremely talented individual. Since joining our Florida cast in 1988 this highly qualified gentleman has dedicated himself to a wide range of positions relating to attraction’s design, operation and safety. Recently he served as vice president of design engineering and regulatory compliance for our Walt Disney World Resort. Currently he serves on the board of ASTM amusement ride safety standards committee and is the chairman of IAAPA safety and maintenance committee. This morning he will share a behind the scenes look at our comprehensive safety plans. Please join me in welcoming our new chief safety officer of Walt Disney Parks and Resorts, Greg Hale.
