One of my favorite watches was made in the 1960’s by Helbros. It was a Goofy watch, the hands ran backwards and the numbers on the face of the watch went counterclockwise. It was discontinued because Disney felt that it confused small children from telling the correct time, It is very rare and worth $1,500-2000 dollars in its original box. This watch has been reproduced and copied many times since the original came out, but none come close to the Helbros original.

Most collectors of Disney watches prefer the watch in its original box and of course it being in good working order. This increases the value and collectability of the watch. Also it should have its original band and the face of the watch should be clean of any dirt or damage. Loose hands also detract from its price. So be careful when buying a used Disney Watch, and if you are planning on buying a new Disney watch, buy one that you like, not for what you think it may be worth later on, then you will never be disappointed.

Today Disney Watches are more popular than ever, they can be found in Drug Stores and Department stores even Fine jewelry stores like Neiman Marcus and Tiffany and Co, with watches being made in 14k Gold and Diamonds from the distinguished company of Baume and Mercier. But In my opinion the artist made watches at the Disneyland parks are the best, you can get just about any character from any Disney Classic or Feature, from between $100 to $500 dollars. This depends on how large the edition size is, which can range from as little as 25 watches to several thousand.

If you love Disney watches there is a watch out there for every budget taste and style. I’m sure that there is one out there for you.
