While it was already known that the Anaheim House of Blues would be leaving Downtown Disney and moving over to the nearby GardenWalk center, a closing date for the current location has now been released. According to the Orange County Register, the current venue will close its doors on May 31st, 2016.
Despite its proximity to Disneyland, GardenWalk has struggled for some time. Howevver, having the popular venue move over and occupy the space left by UltraLuxe Cinemas is part of a plan to help revitalize the center. It’s also a win for the House of Blues which will get a space nearly double the size of their current home and add approximately 33% more jobs.
Although a solid opening date for the Anaheim House of Blues in GardenWalk has yet to be announced, the venue is expected to open sometime this summer.
