Walt Disney Parks and Resort, in partnership with the Consumer Products Safety Commission is recalling the “Happy Holidays! Mickey Mouse Nightlights.” Liquid from the nightlight can leak onto the electrical outlet, posing a fire hazard.
Disney has received two reports of incidents, including one electrical fire, but no injuries have been reported.
The nightlight was sold at Walt Disney World, the Disneyland Resort, the Shop Disney Parks App, and DisneyStore.com. The cost of the item was $14.95, but those that purchased the item should return it for a $25.00 refund.
To get the refund, guests should call Walt Disney Parks and Resorts at 1-844-722-1444 and select Option 3. Guests cannot return the item to a park merchandise location or a Disney Store for a refund, they must call the number above.
