Journalist Paolo Uggetti Joins ESPN as College Football Writer

Sports writer Paolo Uggetti is now part of the ESPN family and will work at the network covering college football.

  • ESPN has announced that Paolo Uggetti has joined the network as a college football writer.
  • For the past five years, Uggettihas been part of The Ringer providing national coverage of the NBA for the media company.
  • Some of his most prominent feature articles included:
    • Devin Booker’s Mexican heritage
    • Focusing on the NBA players’ mental health in the Disney Bubble
    • Finding the exact KIA that Blake Griffin dunked over in the 2011 dunk contest
  • Prior to working at ESPN and The Ringer, Uggetti served as an intern at The Wall Street Journal writing for their sports department.

About Paolo Uggetti:

  • Uggetti is originally from El Salvador and moved to Los Angeles when he was nine years old.
  • As a child he loved fútbol and after moving to LA discovered a love for even more sports.
  • As a student at USC, Uggetti covered the Trojans football team for two seasons and was honored with two LA Press Club awards.
