Wow another warm day throughout Walt Disney World on Thursday – in fact our high temperature was significantly above average for this time of year and we managed to hit 77 … well I hope you got your fill because we aren’t going to get CLOSE to that today I can assure you.
A reinforcing cold front has pushed through by now and cold air is advecting in the WDW resort area and temperatures today for highs look to be about 15 degrees cooler than they were yesterday so we go from being above average to pretty far below. High temperatures today will top out in the low 60s which isn’t horrible, but if you are planning to walk around World Showcase tonight have at the very least a light jacket because lows will drop into the 40s pretty quickly once the sun goes down. Saturday will be even COLDER than Friday and we’ll struggle to hit 60 (though that is the official high temperature). Lows will be even colder Saturday night than they were Friday as well so once again make sure you are prepared with plenty of layers if you are planning on being in the parks after sunset.
Things start to climb out of the cellar nicely though as we head into the weekend however and we warm back up to just about “normal” for your Martin Luther King Day with a high right around 70. The good news is that there should be plenty of sunshine throughout the period so that’s good. Enjoy your weekend everyone.
PS – Happy Friday the 13th – it is advisable to ride Tower of Terror multiple times today :-).
