Encore! Cast Performing Arts will be presenting Elton John and Tim Rice’s AIDA In Concert, through a licensing agreement with Music Theatre International. At the Nile’s edge, the enslaved Nubian princess, Aida becomes romantically entangled with the Egyptian captain, Radames, who is betrothed to the Pharaoh’s daughter, Amneris. As their forbidden love grows deeper, Aida is forced to find balance between her heart’s yearning for Radames, and her responsibility to lead her people.  Aida and Radames’s love for one another becomes a shining example of true devotion that ultimately transcends the vast cultural differences between their warring nations, heralding a time of unprecedented peace and prosperity. Elton John and Tim Rice’s Aida is a timeless love story, featuring an award-winning pop/rock score from the seasoned pop duo who brought musical life to Disney’s The Lion King. Rousing rock numbers and heart-wrenching ballads bring the ill-fated lovers into a new era.

Encore was formed by a handful of Disney Cast Members with a passion for music searching for a way to give back to the community.  Encore is dedicated to providing Disney Cast Members and their families an outlet for creativity and expression in the performing arts as well as supporting charities that make Central Florida a better place to live.

Encore! Cast Performing Arts has a history of presenting concerts that benefit local charities, and since its inception in 2002, this all-volunteer organization has presented more than 15 concerts and raised more than $225,000 for charitable organizations. In 2011, Encore selected the Dr. Phillips Center as the beneficiary of the proceeds from the summer concert, and Encore was designated a Founding Donor of the arts center.  The Dr. Phillips Center is honored that Encore has once again selected the Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts as this season’s charitable contribution.
