By the time you read this – it will likely be raining around Walt Disney World … a line of storms is moving VERY quickly from West to East. Long story short today promises to not be a picture perfect postcard day.
I’m a little late with this forecast because I’m trying to crunch some numbers regarding a tropical threat that isn’t even being monitored by the NHC yet. A cold front pushing across the country may lead to spawning a disturbance mid to late week – some models have this affecting the panhandle so please keep your eyes on weather forecasts this week.
As for today around the parks – an unsettled day can be expected. Measurable rain can be expected and it has the potential to be a rather miserable day in and around theme parks today. High temperatures should top out in the low 90s but cloud cover may get in the way with that. The good news is that precipitation chances diminish as we head towards the end of the week with 50 percent tomorrow and down to 30 by Friday.
A HUGE concern on the Atlantic coast will be rip currents from hurricane Katia … you do NOT want to be swimming unsupervised on the beach today or tomorrow (not to mention it will likely be raining this afternoon on the coast anyway).
Stay tuned all week for the latest topical conditions as there is another Invest area worth watching behind Katia.
