From out of nowhere we have Bret and first thing this morning I can see some moisture from Bret wrapping onto the eastern Florida coastline … I hope no one had a cruise planned to the Bahamas. Bret shouldn’t pose much of a problem to anyone other than those showers as he pulls away from land and heads out to sea in the day. Now the interesting thing about the storm is that it’s pulling some drier air into our area which should help to inhibit showers and thunderstorms for the next couple of days. That said – the storm should remind everyone living or traveling to hurricane prone areas this summer to be prepared as we continue to head towards the eventual peak of the Atlantic Hurricane Season.
So, closer to home thanks in part to Bret looks like we should see a little more sunshine than we have in the past couple of days. A couple of you were keeping me up to date on weather happenings in the park over the weekend and I love that stuff so keep it coming – it will help other Disney fans plan their days and activities.
More sun means hotter temperatures and temperatures will steadily climb through mid week back into the mid 90s. Add in the humidity and you know the drill – heat indexes into the triple digits. Moisture creeps back up to more normal levels by the end of the week so we will start to increase the chance of shower chances.
