Mmmmm

1:15p Arrive at the Hyperion. They are still handing out tickets for the 2:15 show so I get one, get a cream cheese filled pretzel and park it on a bench across from Ben Hair. Right after, the 12:30 show exits bringing a steady stream of people. I tried to listen in to see what people were saying about the show, but I was unsuccessful.

1:21p I finally settle down and work on one of my missions for the day - trivia. I was able write a couple of dozen questions for the Hooked on Trivia radio game show Rebekah and I will be guesting on soon (I'll have more details when the date is firm). True of False - The first Disney Store opened in 1986 [False, 1987] (Highlight the area within the brackets for the answer).

1:37p Ran into a long-time Cast Member who told me she would be leaving the park in a couple of weeks. Very sad to hear :( I'm glad I got to speak to her and say goodbye before she left.

1:40p People are filing into the Aladdin waiting area - time to get in line! Unfortunately, I end up behind a group of what I'm guessing are junior high school kids. Actually, it was not a big deal except for the one girl who chose to use the "F" word. Cursing 13 years old do not make for a happy Disney day. Fortunately, it only occurred once (that I heard).

2:00p In we go! I get a seat in the first row of the upper orchestra on the far stage right. First time I've sat in that area. I really like sitting in the orchestra rather than the mezzanine (which most people seem to prefer). The upper orchestra is a nice compromise because you still get a good view of the flying carpet.

"That's the plan"

2:15p Showtime! The lady across the aisle has a very loud laugh. I enjoyed hearing her enjoy the show laughing loudly at all the jokes, even the subtle ones. I love this show!

Hello to you, too!

3:00p Show's over. Time to do a little shopping at Off the Page. While there I meet up with someone else I've come to know in the Disneyland community. After that I do a little more shopping at Greetings from California.

A blustery day keeps the banners away

3:25p Time to leave DCA and head to Disneyland to buy one more item and find a quiet place to create some more trivia. But ... on the way a survey taker stops me. I happily answer the questions (mostly Excellent, a couple of Very Goods, one Good) and them make like a baby and head out.
