As mentioned, many of the auditioners already worked at Disneyland. Included on that list is Marc:

LP: Where do you currently work?

Marc: I work at Soap Opera Bistro in Disney’s California Adventure.

LP: Why do you want to do this?

Marc: I’ve kind of come to grips with the fact that I was born to be a game show host. I’ve fought that for years but I’m beginning to come around to that being o.k.

LP: So this is kind of a launching pad?

Marc: Well I hope to do a ...be on T.V. doing it someday but yeah this seems to be my natural environment.

But not everyone was a seasoned theme park entertainment. Leslie Berger, a new actress, was on her first Disney audition:

LP: What's your name?

LB: My name is Leslie Berger. Not like the burger you eat but I am delicious - but anyways.

LP: You are an actress, I presume.

LB: Brand, spanking new actress.

LP: Have you done anything yet?

LB: I’ve been doing a lot of background extra work for movies and T.V. And I’ve auditioned, for you, know smaller parts.

LP: Why did you come out for this one?

LB: Why did I come out to the Disney Audition?!? First, I love Disneyland. I’m like a big kid. You know, I’ve been going every year since I was a child. And so..one of the factors is to be a part of Disney. I love people. And I love the game. But I love interacting with people. I’m also in sales, so it sounds like fun.

LP: Are you a fan of the show?

LB: Oh yeah! I like watching the show because I learn a lot. Because some of the questions they ask I know but the other ones - are like - oh my god. So it also helps me learn and stuff. But it's lots of fun.

LP: You do realize that if you get this job you would have to go to Disneyland just about everyday?

LB: That’s wonderful ‘cause I’m in Huntington Beach.

LP: Me, too.

LB: I’m only 10 to 12 miles away. So that’s great. And then I get to live my lifetime fantasy of not getting to Disneyland once a year but everyday. So that’ll be cool.
