From Shakespeare to the Stars – A Countdown of Disney’s Most (and Least) Anticipated Films of 2015

#8 The Good Dinosaur

November 25

Synopsis: “The Good Dinosaur” asks the generations-old question: What if the asteroid that forever changed life on Earth missed the planet completely and giant dinosaurs never became extinct? In theaters November 25, 2015, the film is a humorous and exciting original story about Arlo, a lively Apatosaurus with a big heart. After a traumatic event unsettles Arlo’s family, he sets out on a remarkable journey, gaining an unlikely companion along the way – a human boy. “The Good Dinosaur” is an extraordinary journey of self-discovery full of thrilling adventure, hilarious characters and poignant heart. Anticipation Level: Medium. After releasing nothing in 2014, Pixar has two films in 2015. The Good Dinosaur will be the second of the two. The story sounds a little ordinary and the director (Peter Sohn) doesn’t have quite the pedigree of the other release. Family voices include Judy Greer, Neil Patrick Harris and Frances McDormand, all of which I’m a fan of. The Good Dinosaur was original scheduled to be released in 2014, so I’m guessing it’s gone through a lot of reworking which isn’t necessarily a bad thing.
