The ad agency behind the iconic ESPN “This is SportsCenter” commercials is now doing work for Fox Sports. According to Ad Age, Wieden & Kennedy New York, who had worked with the worldwide leader for over 20 years ended their relationship with ESPN at the end of 2016 and is now leading the Fox Sports account.
“We are excited for our future with Fox Sports. This is an opportunity for real partnership, with a brand whose culture is rich and inspiring,” said Neal Arthur, managing director of Wieden & Kennedy New York, in a statement. He added in the statement: “ESPN was a defining client for Wieden & Kennedy New York, and our entire network. We wish them the best.”
It is unclear whether the “This is SportsCenter” campaign will continue. There is also no word if Fox Sports has hired Charley Steiner to give Skip Bayless lessons on how to participate in a memorable ad.
