Although the majority of Star Wars-related talk being dominated by the recently announced Episode VIII title, this morning brings some more big news to the galaxy: the upcoming Han Solo solo film is now in production. Co-director Chris Miller shared a tweet earlier today showing off the slate for the film’s first scene. Cleverly, he titled the image “Han First Shot,” a reference to the legendary debate over Greedo scene in the original Star Wars:
Keen-eyed fans may also notice that the bottom of the slate seems to reveal the film’s title as Red Cup. However, that is (almost surely) a joking working title… especially when you realize that a popular red cup is made by the company Solo.
The next entry into the Star Wars spinoff genre is currently set to for release next year.
