The quickest way to tour the state of California. The queue inside is like being inside an old airplane hangar with tributes to past aviators who made their mark in history. Very well done. The ride itself is simply breathtaking showing the best of what this state has to offer. Always makes me long for a road trip up the coast.

A wonderful ride. I am a little afraid of heights so I was holding on to the chair firmly (heehee) It's realistic. The ride is fun and nice to feel like your flying over beautiful California scenary.

When we took my octogenarian parents on SOC on their first trip to California Adventure, it instantly became my mom's favorite ride. It was also my sister's last ride before her graduation to Heaven.

You may not be all that far off the floor, but you feel like you are. In fact, you feel like you're thousands of feet in air, high above California. Truly an amazing experience. A great attraction!

An outstanding attraction. I must admit though, the older I get, the more sensitive my gut is to certain sensations. While this attraction didn't make me exactly nauseous, it did get me feelin' a little funky, a little lightheaded. Not much into heights here, and we ended up in the front row. Wow! What an experience anyway. Everyone owes him or herself a ride on this amazing attraction, at least once. As if we didn't already know that CA is amazingly beautiful, this attraction proves it.

I just love this ride! I used to have this reoccuring dream as a kid about flying over my neighborhood. I suppose this is why I just love this attraction. The sights and smells... I just really love it!

Great ride. You have to try it atleast once. Not scarey at all. You sit in your seat and it lifts to the screen, that's the only part that gets some people because they are not expecting it.

On behalf of my Dad, I am rating it as "best". I have yet to ride it, but he has already. Told me all about it and it sounds awesome. Soaring over a field of oranges and a scent of orange hits the room? Nice touch :) Sounds like its worth checking out to me next time I go.

I was really nervous about going on this ride after what I had read in some tour books. I am really afraid of heights and get motion sick. I did feel a little queazy for just a minute on this ride but it was so worth it. The effects, music, everything was breaktaking and I'm really, really glad that I did ride it and definitely will again.

We have our own Soarin' Over California here in Orlando, Florida (although its name is cut down to Soarin'), in The Land pavillion at Epcot. I just wanna say, this ride is amazing. Ever since I first went on it, I actually gained intrest in flight. It brings the most brilliant effects in motion simulators to life in front of your eyes... incredible... Umm, anyway, the only thing that sucks ass about this ride is its overpopularity. One time, when my mom, one of her old friends and I went to Epcot to go on Soarin' (mom was dying to let her friend go on it), the stand-by entrence's wait time was 130 minuetes! And to make things worse, FastPasses weren't avaliable at the time! Bottom line: go on early. Other than that, Soarin' is great, and I bet Anaheim's version is just as great.

8.5-9.0 on a scale of 1-10. Possibly the best "attraction" at DCA (without having ridden California Screamin, due to extended closure). Riders should opt out for front row seats (row 1) to avoid "dangling feet" distraction.

I'm a pilot. This ride is all of the best of the reasons I love to fly. It captures the essence of the beauty of the world from the air in a way that is breathtaking but not jarring. My wife, who refuses to fly with me because she gets motion sick on an elevator, loves this ride too. My only gripe is that they have a couple of blemishes on the IMAX screen that they really need to touch up. They stand out too much.

Soarin' is probably the BEST Disney attraction EVER! It may not have the theming of the Tower of Terror, or the thrill of the Rockin Roller Coaster. But it is the most exhilarating of any Disney attraction. I've dreamed of flying (just me – no plane or any other vehicle) since I was a young boy. My flying dreams have always given me a feeling of freedom and exhilaration that I could not describe. Soarin' came so close to duplicating that feeling while I was awake that it brought tears to my eyes.

The BEST thing in the Disneyland Resort!!!!

This attraction is worth the admission to DCA (although try to do Screamin' as well)!

You cannot leave without an enormous smile from the absolutely incredible flyover of California. It takes IMAX to the ultimate experience.

Best attraction in the park! Loved the flying sensation without the motion sickness. (I get sick watching rides and this was a piece of cake). Get in first row if you want the full effect. Seemed aromas were stronger on the left side. Wish younger children could enjoy it as well! Two thumbs way up!!

DCA's key, flagship Attraction is without doubt, a lot of fun. Though, they need to work on those film scratches, and dust particles getting into the projection system! The movements are mild, soundtrack very pleasing, and scents like pine, & orange, a plus!

For those of you who are a bit apprehensive of motionsickness while on this ride (as I was...I can't handle Star Tours or Space Mountain)rest assured that if you start feeling a bit dizzy (as I did in the middle)that if you close your eyes for a half minute or so, you will quickly get over it as the motion of the mechanism is not "wild and crazy" as is the case in the aforementioned other two attractions in Disneyland. A great ride!

Euphoric! An E ticket ride in the great Disney tradition. This ride brought tears to my eyes. Not to be missed! Worth the trip just for this one! Lives up to all the praise!

This is definitely the best attraction at DCA! It is so well-done that it really feels like your actually hang-gliding! The smell of orange groves, pine trees, and the ocean is a wonderful touch to the overall feel of the ride. Whether you like flying over the Golden Gate Bridge, or traveling through Yosemite National
Park, Death Valley, San Diego, Lake Tahoe, Palm Springs, Malibu, Sierra Nevadas, Napa Valey, Los Angeles, the Pacific Ocean, orange groves or Disneyland, this is a ride that must be seen to believe! A helpful hint: always try for the first row.

Try to avoid getting an outside seat in the last row. I have heard nothing but good things about SOC but I was unimpressed. I think it was beacause of where I was sitting. I could see the edge of the screen even while looking straight ahead. I can assure you that this really ruins the illusion.

From beginning to end, I was in chills. This ride was fun, and made me appreciate California so much more. It is incredible - I rode it 4 times in one day! Don't miss it, and get a seat on the top row!

Good stuff...don't wait more than 30minutes though..get your pass! Themeing OUTSIDE the attraction in the Flats area is extra detailed and worth poking around. Terrific Disney!

From the front row, you can't imagine a better show! The scents are amazing! It's true that from the second and third rows the show is a bit worse due to the feet you can see above you, so it's well worth the wait to sit in the first row. Faboo!

One of the MANY wonderful Disney attractions at DCA. The theming in all of Condor Flats gives a worthy presentation to DCA's #1 attraction. We soar over all of the state, encountering many lush locales...complete with the wind in our faces and the scents of the scenes below. DO NOT miss this attraction.

I was blown away by the realistic sensation of flying, and had just as much fun the second time around as i had the first. I followed advice to ask for the front row on this one, and I will next time too. The fron row becomes the top row when the flight begins, and the imax screen sweeps around under your feet. I didn't have to wait in a long line, but I think the ride would certainly have been worth it. This is a must-see.

Loved it!It's very realistic with the wind in your face,the smell of orange blossoms,and the noise of fireworks over Disneyland.You really feel you're flying all right.(P.S. A surprise Disney character shows up near the end!)

BEST RIDE AT THE PARK!!
We waited almost 3 hrs. because only one theatre was working, but it was worth the wait. We were the Sat.(2/3) when the amplifier smoked on the show right after ours. Good thing it happened after or else we would have been very disapointed waiting those 3 hrs.!!

A very good attraction that should have been better. Third row view is limited, transitions between scenes would have been nice, and the "story" really is not there the way you find it in Star Tours for example. None the less, it can be visually stunning at times, and the score is wonderful.

Don't miss this ride! The technology used is superb and you can actually feel as though you are flying over California. One slight problem: I went during a cast member preview, and only needed to wait in a short ten minute line, but I hear now that wait times can grow up to 220 minutes! Nevertheless, it is the one ride in Disney's California Adventure that I would ride above all others.
