A thrilling way to get the best view of almost the entire resort. You won't get me on a swinging gondola. I like the stationary gondolas just fine.

I think it's the scariest ride in the park. (yes, I've been on all of them.) No seat belts, no lap restraints. You're just swing away above the crowd... the rides... the park mountains. Yup, you can see whole park from up there as you swing away. It looks like a relaxing ride but it's not. You'll find yourself gripping for your dear life onto the cage mesh wires after the first swing. It's Devious but fun!

It looks so innocent yet this ride gave me the worst panic attack!! Foolishly, we rode the swinging gondola our first time on it. I don't like how there's nothing to hold on to when you're plunging straight down. If we ever ride it again, I'll take the stationary, thank you!!

This is the scariest ride in the world! I have been on the new Space Mountain, California Screamin', and X at Magic Mountain. None of them can match the thrill of the Purple Buckets!!!

I was neverous the cart was swing too much and it really freaked me out and this was in the stationary carts. I was sort of weired freshman year.

There are great views from the top of the ride. When you are up there you really see how beautiful the DLR is

1st and last time I rode this I demanded to be taken out of the swinging car after one rotation. Not even my husband or our 8 yr old was enjoying the ride. If I go ever again it would be a non swinging gondola.

This ride is fresh out of Disney's great genius. Truly, this is one of the greatest rides Disney has ever cooked up in its amazing imagination. After all, not only is there the exciting sliding cars, but there are also the hanging cars for those who have motion sickness. It is great for all ages and is easily a Disney instant classic.

Grr I hate this ride. I went on the car that swings back and forth and I felt like I was going to swing into the lake. Not enjoyable at all.

This ride is pretty cool. I didn't like the fact that I threw up right after I rode though. Don't laugh at me, just be quiet.

stop bad mouthing paradise pier.this just goes to show that people dont know anything! it is suposed to be themed after a 1920s amusment park that you would find along the beach such as coney island.so theay put in attractions that look like what you would find around that time.califorina screamin loks like a great old woodin coaster from a distance and maliboomer is like one of those old muscle tests to se if you can ring the bell at the top.so this place has plenty of imagination.so people that soy i doesent are just plain stupid!

The moving gondolas make this ride not only unique, but very exciting. Usually I don't go on ferris wheels because I find them boring. Even when loading and unloading, when you are on the sides it's fun to guess whether or not you'll slide. This is awesome.

The size of the ride and small cappacity for this ride make the ride very short and the line very long. You only get one uninterupted revolution on this Ferris wheel. Those complaints aside, it does afford a beautiful view of the entire resort, and the swinging cars, to me, were a little scary. Nice though.

A surprisingly slow and tame ride in the red non-swinging cars. Good for the whole family. Only makes two revolutions. Great view at night especially when Disneyland's fireworks are going off!

It's a nice somewhat peaceful ride where friends can hang and chat... while precariously swinging around and holding on for dear life(optional)!!! 2/4 (it's just a ferris wheel underneath, so now high ratings from me)

I've ridden the red cars. (Stationary). And the orange ones (Semi-swinging). Full swinging purple are not for me! And I found out I am mildly afraid of heights. And I thought I could handle anything! It's 'ok'. Not the kind of amusement I care to ride in every DCA visit.

Wow! At first I wasn't willing to wait half an hour for a ferris wheel, but being the disney fan I am, I had to. Boy was I surprised, the swinging buckets were so cool! Much better than the stationary ones, even though the stationary ones give you a better view.

This is a fun ride is you are not afraid of heights. If you are afraid of heights, do not, I repeat, DO NOT ride this ride! Believe me: this comes from personal experience.

I rode in the gliding car. It was really thrilling, I was a bit freaked out. It is a nice way to get a cool breeze and to see the Park from that perspective. But the cars really sway, so if you get motion sickness, beware.

For looks it's a 10! The ride is, a "wheel is a wheel' on the statioary cars. The swinging cars can be 'white knuckle'.

Being deathly afraid of heights, I almost passed up this ride. While I did have a death-grip on my poor boyfriend, it was worth my personal terror just to be able to see the view from the top (we rode it at night). The stationary car was terrifying enough for me, so I could never try the swinging cars, but they look fun!

Kids loved the swinging gondolas. This ride is a ferris wheel with a thrill. Worth a 30 to 40 min wait. The anxiety of waiting for the ride to move as they load/unload is half the fun.

The swinging cars are a blast. The views are wonderful, especially at night. Haven't tried the stationary cars yet. Not worth a long wait, but it's a good place to rest.

This ride was pretty nice and offered nice views of the Disneyland Resort. If you go on the non-swinging cars, you get a higher view at the top than the "swinging" cars. My wife and I thankfully "wimped" out on the swinging ones, as they looked terrifying from every angle.
