boring movie, at least you can sit there and take a nap.

This film takes my breath away. The music, scenery and the voice of the commentator are all magical! I have seen this film many, many times. I react the same way each time I see it. You WILL want to go to France. My favorite scene is the one with the hot air balloons! What I wouldn't do for a glass of French champagne as I stroll about the attraction.

The music to this film is simply stunning and was recorded by the London Symphony Orchestra, no less. It's a compilation of the best works by composers such as Debussy, Saint-Saens etc and accompanies the film perfectly. The film itself is gorgeous but it's the music that draws me every time. The soundtrack is available on the Walt Disney World compilation CD, available from Mouse Gear and the store in the France pavillion. Get yourself a copy as a souvenir!

Clark (one post below) I have been there more than once and I have ignored their rude arrogance without comment until their latest lack of contribution in a world crisis. Even after we saved their country for them in WWII they feel they are above everybody else on this planet. While I agree with you that the land is beautiful, a gift from God, the people there still need masive amounts of work on their attitiude, people skills, and care for our human race. Whether they want to be or not they still are part of our global community and with that comes resposibility, let them step up to that responsibility!

Wonderful film about a beautiful country. Knowitall (two posts below) might find this out if he visits France when he grows up.

france? What's a france?? Oh that's right, france is a none contributor.. How could any film about this country be good? There is nothing good about this country....

Very nice film... You might not do all the films when visiting Epcot but make sure not to miss this one.

User ID: pbohr   Thrill: Unrated  Theme: Unrated  Overall: 4 (6/26/2003)
This short 180 degree film is a great short vacation to France. Plan to walk in just as the doors open or just after they closed. Seats in the waiting area can be counted on one hand, but it is cool and dark there for resting your feet.

I love France!

The film tells it all. The beauty and music of France. I have been to France twice and can tell you, the film brings it all back to me. Almost like being there again. A must do. Air Conditioned and you sit...good deal!

Good flick....and you get to sit down!

The most beautiful film disney offers. Makes you want to pack up and go to France.

Loved it, I want to learn French now and go there!

This is a truly breathtaking film.

User ID: ninafeliz1   Thrill: Unrated  Theme: Unrated  Overall: 4 (3/11/2001)
This is the best movie in Epcot! The soundtrack is spectacular, and so is the scenery. It's a very nice way to spend 20 minutes on a hot day, and best of all it has seats!

User ID: halninek   Thrill: Unrated  Theme: Unrated  Overall: 4 (2/1/2001)
Probably better for older guests. The film is awe inspiring but could be tame for younger guests. After travelling through France it brought back great memories. It has spurred me on to make a greater effort to return for another vacation. French visitors Bureau should be pleased with attracation.

Epcot's hidden, under-rated treasure...a great film in a great theater...and you can sit (vs standing for Circle-Vision)

User ID: thestargirl   Thrill: Unrated  Theme: Unrated  Overall: 4 (2/1/2001)
Beautiful, elegant, and tasteful.

User ID: rollerstan   Thrill: Unrated  Theme: Unrated  Overall: 3 (6/28/2000)
Moving "statues" are the best! Eiffel tower from Boardwalk view looks real! Music is great too!

User ID: Elizabeth   Thrill: Unrated  Theme: Unrated  Overall: 4 (6/28/2000)
Beautiful, inspired, and elegant. Much more effective as advertising than any Disney vacation planning video!

User ID: ducky   Thrill: Unrated  Theme: Unrated  Overall: 4 (6/28/2000)
Always a must see...totally relaxing and romantic.

User ID: Judy from Boise   Thrill: Unrated  Theme: Unrated  Overall: Unrated (6/28/2000)
I enjoy this movie, I like the clever way they use frame of reference to make it feel like you are riding in the various vehicles and seeing the scenery from that perpesctive. The other big bonus is the sit down theatre. A solid attraction worth doing with little wait.

User ID: epolk   Thrill: Unrated  Theme: Unrated  Overall: 2 (6/28/2000)
It may have just been jetlag, but I fell asleep.

User ID: Phillip   Thrill: Unrated  Theme: Unrated  Overall: 4 (6/28/2000)
One of the highlights of EPCOT! The music and visuals are stunning.

User ID: UnclPumbaa   Thrill: Unrated  Theme: Unrated  Overall: Unrated (6/28/2000)
This is by far EPCOT's best film! The images as well as the classical music are beautifully blended together. One of the GREAT attractions World Showcase has to offer! Don't miss it.

User ID: bwanabob   Thrill: Unrated  Theme: Unrated  Overall: 4 (6/28/2000)
One of my faves at EPCOT and WDW as a whole.

User ID: RPK4444   Thrill: Unrated  Theme: Unrated  Overall: 2 (6/28/2000)
Probably the best movie in Epcot but, it's STILL a movie. Disney should have made it an attraction like Norway.

User ID: hargjamb   Thrill: Unrated  Theme: Unrated  Overall: 4 (6/28/2000)
This was a great overview of a really cool country. The camera work was amazing, set in a very authentic looking auditorium/theatre. The whole experience was great.

User ID: WayneG   Thrill: Unrated  Theme: Unrated  Overall: 4 (6/28/2000)
The best film at WDW. (time for a new print though).

User ID: Coop   Thrill: Unrated  Theme: Unrated  Overall: 4 (6/28/2000)
Not an attraction that will "WOW" you, but still one that you will find enjoyable. Classical music and beautiful views really do take you on a journey. The big plus is that you get to sit down, unlike the Circle Vision theatres. And the French Castmembers who introduce the film have always been very energetic when I'm there. That adds a lot to the experience!

User ID: Futurist   Thrill: Unrated  Theme: Unrated  Overall: 3 (6/28/2000)
The ultimate "CinemaScope" experience. It's been a while since I've seen it. But what I remember about this 180 degree screen experience was that it was breathtaking!

User ID: Sapphire   Thrill: Unrated  Theme: Unrated  Overall: 3 (5/19/2000)
Slow-moving but elegant. Like the China film it's nearly 20 years old but the vistas are timeless in both shows.

User ID: ToonKirby   Thrill: Unrated  Theme: Unrated  Overall: 4 (4/27/2000)
THE best film at Epcot, hands down. Great place to sit down in the cool on a hot summer day .. this film saved my life my first visit to Epcot, it was so humid out! And the music! BEAUTIFUL collection of classic French composers .. and no, that is not music from "Beauty & the Beast" (as I often hear guests say) but "Carnaval des Animaux" (Carnavl of the Animals) by Camille Saint-Saens. Alan Menken used this piece as inspiration for the film. Absolute must see!

User ID: ChipDale   Thrill: Unrated  Theme: Unrated  Overall: 4 (4/27/2000)
Breathtaking views and beautiful music make this film entirely enjoyable.

User ID: resto   Thrill: Unrated  Theme: Unrated  Overall: 4 (4/18/2000)
By far the most beautiful film at the World Showcase. And since you get to sit down, it's also a great place to rest your feet on your way around world showcase lagoon.

User ID: LaffnStock   Thrill: Unrated  Theme: Unrated  Overall: 3 (3/12/2000)
Probably the best film in World Showcase. How about a thrill ride on the Eiffel Tower also?????

User ID: Jeremiah   Thrill: Unrated  Theme: Unrated  Overall: 4 (2/5/2000)
Amazing I kicked myself the first time I saw it for bypassing it the first 3 times I was there.

User ID: damon63   Thrill: Unrated  Theme: Unrated  Overall: 4 (1/17/2000)
One of the better films in Epcot.

User ID: TPA_RickWest   Thrill: Unrated  Theme: Unrated  Overall: 3 (1/6/2000)
A beautiful film depicting the history and charm of France. Younger guests may become bored, but adults certainly appreciate the beauty and appeal of this country and this film. It's cool just listening to the French cast members introduce the film!
