Disneyland Resort Attractions
Obviously, I have lots of favorites here. So I tried to narrow it to faves among faves.

The Matterhorn

  • Soarin' Over California: My favorite theme park ride, period, right now. It completely sweeps me away into its world.
  • Space Mountain: Just because it's so much fun and because I like to go "wooo" on the drop. And yes, definitely with the sound.
  • Haunted Mansion: You can have your Pirates of the Caribbean. For me, this is the ultimate in traditional Disney rides. Disney took scary, and turned it fun making this suitable for almost everyone. The graveyard is amazing. And I'll never figure out how they fit it all into that little house.
  • Matterhorn: Another great Disney coaster. A birds-eye view of the park (for a few seconds). And a little bit dangerous - though not so much anymore.
  • Splash Mountain: The best combination of thrill and themeing. I like water rides, and this is still Disney's best (though I like Florida's version a bit more).
  • Underrated: Pinocchio's Daring Journey: My favorite of the Fantasyland dark rides. Three reasons: Fireworks, Monstro, Disappearing Blue Fairy. "Pinoooochiooooo..."

Walt Disney World Resort attractions
Here I only include attractions that are at Walt Disney World only ... with one exception.

Twilight Zone Tower of Terror

  • Tower of Terror: My favorite Disney thrill ride. Can't wait for the one in DCA. The Twilight Zone themeing completes it.
  • Rock 'n' Roller Coaster: Like Space Mountain, I love it for no other reason than it's fun!
  • Voyage of the Little Mermaid: I had no idea what this was going to be the first time I saw it. I love the movie (as seen above) and the presentation here blew me away. I've seen it a few times now and it hasn't help up upon repeat viewings like some other attractions, but the experience of that first time puts it among my favorites.
  • Kilimanjaro Safari: I love to sit down for a long ride watching stuff (Universal's tram tour is a favorite of mine). Combine that with the unpredictability of live animals and the vast savannahs while keeping in the back of my mind "I'm at Disney World!", and you've got a happy Doobie!
  • Tomorrowland Transit Authority: I really miss the People Mover. It was among my favorites. So riding this takes me back.
  • Muppet*Vision 3D: The pre-show gave me some of the biggest laughs I've ever had at a Disney attraction. "Welcome to my park. How ya doin'?"
  • American Adventure: Just a great presentation with a tear-jerker montage at the end (I'm a sucker for montages).
  • Underrated: The boat ride from Future World to World Showcase: Epcot is huge! I like the boats :)
