The Littler Stuff

Billy Hill and the Hillbillies

  • Billy Hill and the Hillbillies: The musicians' abilities are incredible and the show is hilarious. The applause in there is always thunderous. To see it is to love it (save, perhaps, JeffG)..
  • Rod Miller, Coke Corner Pianist: A Disneyland icon. And if it weren't for him, I wouldn't have half the friends I do. Or a wife.
  • The Wizard Acrobats: A little known troupe that performs feats of acrobatics at DCA's Golden State Amphitheater. It's always fun to watch the crowd build as the show goes on. And no one looks like they're having a better time doing their job than this group.
  • Barrage: Kind of weird to put them in here since they're just a visiting group (both at Disneyland at Walt Disney World). But this group of violinists and they're band are amazing and I never miss them when they come. I like to see Disney introduce children to something they may not otherwise see, that's something Disney has always done well. I think Barrage does that with their violins.
  • Underrated: Magic Kingdom Kabaret: Never heard of it? Not many have. But this little show at the Tomorrowland Terrace during Disneyland's 40th anniversary was as fun as a show could be. Just four people and a backing band singing original songs about Disney. The very quick History of Disneyland song was great and the Character Rap needs to be resurrected for something. I may have seen this show more than any other Disney show or parade.

I had initially planned to have a few more categories, but this has gotten long enough already. So we'll save those for next time Hey! A two-parter. That means I get to say...

Coming Up: Traditional Characters. Film Characters. Resort Hotels. Restaurants. Songs. And maybe something else will pop into my head.
