Pleasure Island and Downtown Disney Westside
The Big Question
Can a guest still get their moneys worth from a visit to the Walt Disney World
Resort? I believe so. The reduced hours at the parks means that a guest needs to do some
homework before venturing out into the parks to ensure that everything they want to see
are operating on the days they wish to visit. And the attendance in the parks makes seeing
the parks more enjoyable than ever.
Winter Summerland Mini-Golf
An important note: Everything is subject to change on a moments notice. Decisions are being made on a daily basis and most Cast Member do not know what those changes are until they are announced. Even Guest Services do not know the official hours of the parks for mid-November at this point. Also, dont forget the Walt Disney World Resort goes beyond the theme parks. When the park you are visiting closes early it gives you a chance to visit Downtown Disney or play some mini-golf at Fantasia Gardens or Winter Summerland. Stop by one of the Resort hotels on Bay Lake or the Seven Seas Lagoon and catch the Electrical Water Pageant. Rent a surrey bike (they seat four) from Disneys Boardwalk Resort and take a spin around the Boardwalk/Beach and Yacht Resorts. Make a point to visit one of the quietest areas at WDW: the Fort Wilderness Campground. There is a great petting zoo there and you can grab a hammock on the shores of Bay Lake. There is a whole World of activities out there for you to enjoy. Come and have some fun.
