And a ghost will follow you home....

In case you didn't get a chance to read the other articles in the LaughingPlace.com Haunted Mansion 30th Anniversary series please do take the time. The 30th Anniversary story (part I and part II ) was written by Rebekah Moseley and wonderfully recounts the special brand of entertainment provided that night. If you couldn't be there yourself, this is the next best thing. If you were there, go ahead and relive the memories.

Another interesting story was on the history of the Haunted Mansion . If you're looking for information and can't find it there, don't forget to visit Chef Mayhem's marvelous Doombuggies.com site or Foxx's Haunted Mansion Page. I also was lucky enough to interview one of the legendary animators and imagineers of the Walt Disney company, X. Atencio . He speaks about his history with the Walt Disney Company, his work on Pirates of the Caribbean and on the Haunted Mansion. A great man and a very interesting story.

Who knows where the Haunted Mansion will be in 30 years. Technologies like Emersive 3-D Environments are still in their infancy. But I've heard rumors of work in Imagineering on just that idea. Ghosts and Goblins could find a whole new life, and it might be sooner than you think. Better keep an eye on those folks in Glendale.
