By the time the Billies had finished, and had run off to their Y2K fort -- CLub Billy (stocked with SPAM, they said), it was Dinner time. The line at Plaza Inn (where our group had camped out) didn't drop to under and hour until 9PM at night.

The groups of people reserving spots for the evening quickly grew. As soon as the 6pm Parade had passed, there were people spreading blankets everywhere from the middle of Main Street to the curbs of the hub.

At 6:30PM, a half hour early, the Hats, Horns, and Magical Wishing Wands were made available for guests to pick up. And then the partying began.
