Jim also introduced a new series, which Mario is also working on, "our new alpha-pin series, which we're really excited about. It will feature all the letters of the alphabet with a character whose name, of course, begins with that letter. So you can either collect your initials or you can actually spell out your name... my name is Jiminy, Icabod, Mickey."

He also introduced a new princess cameo series, and noted that there would also be a new villain series as well. Avery cute new post card "looking" series, called "Wish You Were Here", featuring Mickey and Minnie with Disneyland landmarks, Sleeping Beauty Castle, Autopia, the Matterhorn and Space Mountain is due for a late summer release. "It takes about three months from concept to finish and we've been working really hard. I know that Disney's California Adventure has some fun pins over there as far as movement and motion and we're working on that technique for Disneyland as well."

Haunted Mansion pin - glows and has lights

He mentioned a Halloween 2001 pin featuring Goofy and Mickey in a haunted house that has some blinking lights and glow in the dark elements. "We're also introducing a series called Memorable Scenes, where we're actually taking some of the more memorable scenes from inside the attractions and creating pins. Our first one is from Pirates of the Caribbean and it's the jail scene." Jim mentioned a problem in the pin design process and in the rendering he showed us. "Actually I worked a lot with the artist back in Florida, and in their attraction their dog is actually a darker one and ours is white and brown, so we're going to change the colors on that."
