The Mad Hatters - Page 1
The great musicians of the Mad Hatters band use a combination of off-key/off-center
jazzy renditions of tunes from the film, bizarre choreography, and audience member
humiliation to continue the warped and dizzying theme of Fantasyland's other Alice in
Wonderland incarnations. Marching out from backstage, appropriately enough from next to
Queen of Hearts, the 13 member band circuitously plays its way through the center of the
land (even on the most crowded days) bringing with it a light-hearted chaos.
Ultimately, they settle down to an area in the castle courtyard and the real show
begins. And if we're lucky, there'll be a little surprise...

There's nothing in this. It's the sign that tells everyone who they are, but more
than that, they use it to clear their way through the crowds.

While playing a warped version of "Very Merry Unbirthday" that somehow manages
to repeatedly fall just short of making the hairs stand up on the back of your neck, the
Hatters bob and weave, narrowly missing each other in a multitude of of seeming collision
courses.

With a final flurry, their well practiced chaos comes to a close... and it's time for
audience member humiliation!

The band leader, on xylophone, frantically searches the crowd for the coolest young guy he
can find. Looks like he's found a victim. He's SO embarrassed, but this is only the
beginning.
