The Orange Stinger in action

The two "spinner rides" mentioned previously are the Orange Stinger and the Golden Zephyr. The Orange Stinger features 48 chain-suspended swings that circle around within a giant orange. Guests will ride in a swing that looks like a bumblebee that circles in a pattern simulating a pollinating bumblebee. An orange scent will accompany each ride. The Golden Zephyr is the opposite extreme of spinning rides. It features six shiny, silver vehicles attaches to the central column with each vehicle holding up to 12 people. As the Flash Gordon-like vehicles swing that rise up and pass out over Paradise Bay. This is the first time in 35 years an attraction of the style has been built. The center of the Golden Zephyr features "Paradise Pier" written in a light pattern welcoming guests from across Paradise Bay.

Mulholland Madness

The last ride in Paradise Pier is Mulholland Madness. The area where Mulholland Madness is located is a little different than the rest of Paradise Pier. It's full of the kind of road sign icons and outlandish stands you might see on a drive along Route 66 in the 50s. Mulholland Madness is a steel "wild mouse" coaster themed to the twists and turns of driving in the Hollywood Hills. Also located in this area of Paradise Pier is Burger Invasion which features a gigantic burger on its facade made to look like a spaceship and made out of spare parts. Burger Invasion shares its dining area with Pizza Oom Mow Mow, a beach and surf themed pizza restaurant.

Avalon Cove

The fanciest restaurant in Paradise Pier is Avalon Cove by Wolfgang Puck featuring seafood and a view of Paradise Bay. The Cove Bar, also located here, will serve alcohol and feature a sushi bar on the upper level of the restaurant. Rounding out the Paradise Pier eateries are Catch a Flave featuring ice cream, Corn Dog Castle, Strips, Dips 'n' Chips with chicken strips and Malibu-Ritos with - what else - burritos. Near Avalon Cove, next to Catch a Flave is Treasures in Paradise, a shop offering California seaside amusement park themed trinkets, toys and antiques.
