Disney+ is coming to Western Europe next spring. Fans overseas will be able to enjoy thousands of hours of Disney content right at home starting on March 31, 2020.
What’s happening:
- Last Thursday during the Q4 Earnings call, Disney CEO Bob Iger announced the Western European rollout of Disney+.
- Starting on March 31, 2020 subscribers in Europe will be able to access Disney’s direct to consumer streaming service and its impressive library movies, television, and shorts.
- The streaming service will be available in:
- United Kingdom
- Germany
- France
- Italy
- Spain

- Disney also shared the news on their YouTube with a new trailer for the service.
- They also note that streaming titles may vary by territory.
ICYMI:
- As announced at the Investor Day this past April, Disney+ will be a global product and the company has plans to roll out this service internationally.
- While they didn’t give specifics at that time, they did share a projected timeline for the service to debut around the world.
- Disney+ started its beta test in the Netherlands and fans have responded positively to the launch.
- In addition to its launch on November 12, 2019 in the United States for $6.99 (or $69.99 per year), several other territories announced launch dates and pricing:
- Canada: Launches November 12, 2019 at $8.99CAD per month (or $89.99 per year)
- Netherlands: Launches November 12, 2019 at €6.99 per month (or €69.99 per year)
- Australia: Launches November 19, 2019 at $8.99AUD per month (or $89.99 per year)
- New Zealand: Launches November 19, 2019 at $9.99NZD per month (or $99.99 per year)
