Disneyland Resort Update – Black Panther Meet and Greet, Celebrate Gospel, and More

Editor’s note: Welcome to another Disneyland Resort update. This time around, we’ll be looking at the recently added Black Panther meet and greet, the Celebrate Gospel event, and more. Enjoy!

All hail T’Challa, King of Wakanda! Disney California Adventure just opened their newest meet and greet featuring Black Panther and his royal guards, the Dora Milaje. Guests can watch as T’Challa proceeds to Hollywood Land aboard an Avengers/S.H.I.E.L.D. vehicle with the Dora Milaje following close behind. This highly anticipated visit from the Wakandans has seen some long wait times, but that shouldn’t discourage guests as they will not want to miss the opportunity to meet this hero.

The Dora Milaje take their job seriously and will do anything to protect their and country. They take pride in their loyalty. It’s clear that these warrior women are not to be messed with! Their tribal armor is colorful and protective, yet allows for rapid, easy movement.

Black Panther’s visit is not the only thing worth highlighting. After meeting with the royals, guests can pick up some exclusive Black Panther merchandise as well as new pins, Easter themed balloons featuring Thumper, Marie backpack and zipper clutch, and a Graduation Stitch plush.

Sunday also saw the return of Celebrate Gospel at Disney California Adventure. This event is now in its 9th year and introduced a house band Connected and a new walk-through exhibit of the history of gospel music. Every year, over 15 choirs from Southern California participate in Celebrate Gospel with enthusiastic and stirring performances that resonate with all audiences.

Thanks for stopping by to check out this update. We’d love to hear your thoughts on this new meet and greet, Celebrate Gospel, and any Black Panther merchandise you think is essential for collectors.
