MENUMENU

This holiday season, Glade is bringing scents from the four realms to your home with a limited edition collection inspired by Disney’s The Nutcracker and the Four Realms. There are four scents available in a variety of products, including candles, plug-ins, room spray, and wax melts. I picked up the collection at Target where they were featured on an end-cap display. I opted for the new 3-wick candles, but all of the products should have a similar scent profile. They are also available in single-wick candles, but the larger candles will add fragrance to a larger room and also burns more evenly with three wicks to prevent unmelted wax from clinging to the sides of the votive.

Nutcracker Delight

“Warm. Indulgent. Swirls of roasted hazelnuts and sweet pralines. Dusted with notes of creamy vanilla bean upon dollops of almond butter. Delight in the sweetness of the season.”

This nutty scent is so warm and cozy. It feels like sitting beside a crackling fire in a cozy sweater with a mug of hot cocoa. This is by far my favorite scent in the collection. The caramel colored wax makes the candle look almost like the confectionary treats it smells like.

✵ 5 out of 5 stars for Nutcracker Delight.

Sugarplum Fantasies

“Scrumptious. Mysterious. Scents of luscious dark plums and tart blackberries collide with precious violet and addictive vanilla sugar. Be spirited away by this passionate fruit medley.”

There’s something oddly earthy about this scent. The fruits become an afterthought when all is said and done, making the house smell more like melting sugar than anything else. Like the Sugarplum Fairy herself, it’s almost sickeningly sweet. The wax, however, is a very appetizing plum color.

Enchanted Evergreens

“Sparkle. Wonder. Elegant and glistening pine needles. A touch of festive spices with notes of cinnamon bark and nutmeg. Enjoy the magic of the moment.”

The addition of spices to this traditional pine scent makes what could’ve been the most plain scent in the collection one of the most pleasing. Once your tree goes up, this is the only scent you will want around it during the holiday season. The wax is a rich, deep, velvety green.

Dancing Flowers

“Bright. Mesmerizing. A sophisticated floral bouquet of exotic jasmine and petite muguet dances with sparkling pear and fresh greens upon light, white woods. Gaze in wonder at the sophisticated waltz.”

Inspired by Misty Copeland’s ballet sequence and one of the realms, the Land of Flowers, this light floral scent is clean and calming. Florals aren’t my favorite scent, but this one is light and pleasant. It loses points for being a springtime scent in this wintery collection. This candle features a white wax that would look dashing against a red tablecloth.

✵ 3 out of 5 stars for Dancing Flowers
