Food Review – D-Luxe Burger’s Pepperoni Pizza Burger at Disney Springs

Disney Springs is loaded with great dining options. Whether you’re looking for a table-service dining experience or just a quick bite, you’re sure to find what you’re looking for at the Springs.

D-Luxe Burger is one of the more popular quick-service options at the dining and shopping district and they recently added a tempting new option to their menu. The new Pepperoni Pizza Burger is an interesting new addition to a menu that includes some really great burgers.

So before I dive in, let me preface this. I’ve never been a big fan of the pizza-burger experiment. I find the combination of flavors to somewhat cancel each other out and leave you with the tastes of sort of a meaty tomato sauce. With that being said, this was the most enjoyable pizza burger I’ve had.

It certainly wasn’t what I expected. When I read the name “Pepperoni Pizza Burger,” I expected an overwhelming taste of pepperoni. That was not the case at all. If anything, the burger actually could have used some more pepperoni.

What actually came through the most was the pomodoro sauce and the mozzarella cheese.

The sauce was what you would expect. It was a tomato sauce. Nothing special, but not bad either. The cheese however, was the star of the burger. It was a patty of fried mozzarella placed directly on top of the burger and it was delicious. When you got a bite with the cheese and a good piece of pepperoni, it all came together for a really great burger. Again though, it could have used some more pepperoni.

The burger itself was good. If you’ve been to D-Luxe before, you know what to expect. It was a tiny bit overcooked for my taste, but that is typically the case for a quick-service burger place. The bread for this burger was a focaccia roll, which was also very good.

Overall, I enjoyed the new Pepperoni Pizza Burger at D-Luxe Burger in Disney Springs and I typically don’t enjoy that kind of thing. I would happily eat at D-Luxe again soon, but I would probably order something different. However, that speaks more to the wide variety of delicious options this restaurant offers than it does to this particular burger itself.

The new Pepperoni Pizza Burger and the Orange Cream Gelato Shake are available now at D-Luxe Burger at Disney Springs for a limited time.
