Walt Disney World Weather Report for May 29 from @WDW_Weather

Welcome to the last week of May – what a wild couple of weeks we’ve had and I hope everyone was able to spend some time with family and friends over the holiday weekend.  It was a wild weekend with a landfalling tropical storm in the southeast and extreme heat records in the middle of the country.

So June is a big month – the official start of summer AND the OFFICIAL start of the Atlantic Hurricane season.  Both basins have been extremely active for this time of year with two named storms in the Atlantic and Pacific oceans so let’s continue to hope that is not a sign of things to come.  Looking at extended patterns I will say that it looks like things should calm down a bit but Beryl packed quite a punch with over 22k in Jacksonville alone losing power after landfall.

Thanks to southerly flow and the moisture ushered in by Beryrl I’d say it is safe to say we can expect some showers throughout Central Florida today.  With a good 60 percent chance of showers I’d say better safe than sorry and you should plan accordingly.  Precipitation chances diminish just a bit as we head through the rest of the week after today.  The official high temperature being forecast by the national weather service has it getting up into the lower 90s but that is going to be very much dependent on cloud cover and if and when rain develops so the potential for quite a bit of variance is there.

Temperatures look to rebound even a bit further tomorrow as I expect a little more sunshine before any storms develop so highs can easily get into the mid 90s.  Lows won’t get below 70 through the week so why even go there.

Right now the weekend is looking pretty nice as temperatures drop a bit closer to normal right around 90.
