Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort played host to the 42nd Annual ALPFA Convention from August 2-5, 2014.

This year’s 4 -day event, whose theme was “Transforming the Landscape of Leadership”, was  designed to create opportunities for professionals to network, attend educational workshops, meet companies committed to diversity and inclusion that have career opportunities, and learn from leaders in the business community.

The Convention began with a Welcome Reception sponsored by the Walt Disney World Resort and the Minority Business Development team. Guests were encouraged to show their “Disney Side” and enjoy a bit of Disney magic as pirates and princesses.

George A. Kalogridis, President of the Walt Disney World Resort was the Keynote speaker at the Convention’s closing Awards Gala and he reminded the audience that “Diversity is living together, and working together, and prospering together while retaining the wisdom to celebrate who, and what, we are.”
