In celebration of the recent restoration of Walt Disney’s office on the Disney Studio lot, D23 is offering members the chance to see the office as part of an experience that also includes a three-course meal at the famed Tam O’ Shanter. The event is being held on January 29th, 2016 and attendees will be responsible for their own transportation to the studios as well as the Tam O’ Shanter.
Tickets will be $245 plus a $5 processing fee and will go on sale January 4th at 10 a.m. Pacific and a link to purchase will go up on the D23 website at that time.

Experience begins at 2:00 p.m. at the Disney Studio. The meal will begin at 6 p.m. at the Tam O’Shanter restaurant. Please do not arrive earlier than 2 p.m. Tickets will go on sale on Monday, January 4 at 10 a.m. PT.

The Behind-the-Scenes Experience offers D23 Gold Members the opportunity to visit unique places where the magic of Disney flourishes. Kicking off 2016, you’ll be part of the first D23 group to enjoy a private tour of Walt Disney’s newly restored 3H office suite, filled with original furnishings, awards, and items from his personal collection—all curated by the Walt Disney Archives.
You’ll also get a behind-the-scenes glimpse at the Archives’ efforts to digitize its vast collection of photography during an exclusive presentation by Disney Photo Library archivists. During the discussion, you’ll see the team’s latest discoveries and learn more about the challenges and importance of preserving the collection of more than 4 million historical images!
This one-of-a-kind event will also include an exclusive gift created just for you, as well as time to shop at the Disney Studio Store.
The experience will conclude with a three-course meal at a classic eatery that was of special importance to Walt Disney: the Tam O’Shanter. This iconic restaurant was a favorite destination for Walt and his staff, who often referred to it as the Studio Commissary when the company was located on nearby Hyperion Avenue. Guests will need to provide their own transportation from the Walt Disney Studios lot to the Tam O’Shanter; complimentary valet parking will be provided at the restaurant.

Members may reserve a ticket for themselves and one (1) guest. D23 Members will be required to provide their membership number when reserving tickets. Tickets may be picked up only with a valid photo ID AND D23 MEMBERSHIP CARD. D23 Members who do not bring their membership card may not be admitted to the event. Ticketed members who do not attend the event forfeit their place as well as all experiences, benefits, and gifts associated with the event. Guests utilizing a wheelchair will need to transfer to a wheelchair supplied by the Walt Disney Archives. Photography and recording of any kind will not be permitted during the Photo Library presentation. PLEASE BE ADVISED: Filming, photography and other recording will take place at The Walt Disney Studios during the event you will be attending.
