The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) has been in the news as of late with many criticizing them for the long security lines at airports that have caused travelers delays and even missed flights. Now CNBC reports that one former Senator has a creative solution to the problem.
“I don’t think the government can do this. If you went to Walt Disney and said, ‘Can you reduce the size of the lines?’ Nobody runs lines better than Disney,” Bob Kerrey said. Kerrey was the Democratic Senator from Nebraska until 2001 and served on the Select Committee on Intelligence.
While the Disney comment may have been made partially in jest, Kerrey’s subsequent statements indicate that he at least subscribes to sentiment. “I think this is really an example where you’ve got to go to the private sector to figure this thing out,” the former Senator said.
