In a report for Nightline, ABC News’ Clayton Sandell reported that Carrie Fisher saw her Rogue One cameo before she passed:
“She was involved in the process and, you know, she saw the final result and she loved it,” he said. “She got to see the scene. [Kathleen Kennedy, president of Lucasfilm] showed it to her. So, I got a call afterwards from Kathy saying, ‘Well, Carrie loved it.'”
Other fun facts from the report include that a face mask of Peter Cushing was made for 1984’s Top Secret! and was used for Rogue One’s digital reconstruction of Grand Moff Tarkin.
