Walt Disney World Employee Arrested on Suspicion of Impersonating an FBI Agent

A 26-year-old employee of Walt Disney World was arrested on International Drive after allegedly impersonating an officer and tried to perform a traffic stop. According to ClickOrlando, Brett Michael Smith witnessed a woman run over some traffic cones by Seaworld’s Aquatic. Police say he then tried to pull the driver over. When the two later stopped at a red light, Smith approached the woman’s vehicle, flashed a fake Department of Homeland Security Badge he had apparently purchased for Halloween, and said he worked for the FBI. The woman also claims Smith shouted obscenities at her. A nearby deputy saw the exchange and intervened.

Interestingly, the responding officer says he was nearly fooled by Smith’s prop badge. Smith was arrested for falsely impersonating an officer.
